Salman Khan walks free after spending two nights in jail
NEW DELHI, APR 07 (DNA) – After spending two nights in Jodhpur Central Jail, Salman Khan has been granted bail in a 1998 blackbuck poaching case. Today’s judgement comes as relief for the actor who was sentenced to a 5-year jail term on Thursday. Earlier today, Khan s bail plea hearing was concluded in the Jodhpur District and Sessions Court in front of Judge Ravindra Kumar Joshi, who reserved the order till post-lunch.

Heavy kids who normalize weight in childhood can avoid extra diabetes risk
NEW YORK, APR 05 (DNA) – Although being overweight as a child increases the risk of type 2 diabetes in adulthood, a new study shows that the extra risk disappears if that excess weight is lost by age 13 and kept off in early adulthood. “Until our study came along, it was known that weight reduction in adulthood could reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes,” coauthor Dr. Jennifer Baker said in an interview.
