OIC secretary general assures FM Qureshi of taking notice of Kashmir issue

ISLAMABAD, AUG 04 (DNA) – Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Sunday has asked Organization of Islamic Cooperation to take immediate notice of Indian brutalities and persecution in occupied Kashmir.In a telephonic conversation with OIC Secretary General Yousuf Ahmed Al-Othaimeen on Sunday, the minister said use of brute force by India on unarmed Kashmiri people is extremely condemnable.He said India has been violating international laws by unleashing violence and atrocities against Kashmiris. Orders to Hindu Yatrees and tourists to leave Kashmir are also generating anxiety and fear, he added.

Ms. Pang Chunxue will take charge of new DCM of China on Aug 08

ISLAMABAD, AUG 03 (DNA) – Chinese Embassy will organize a farewell party for Chinese Deputy Chief of Mission in Pakistan, Lijian Zhao on 8th August, in a local hotel in Islamabad.His successor, Ms. Pang Chunxue will also be introduced there. She is a senior diplomat, who has served in the UK and Afghanistan and had served in Pakistan almost 20 years ago in a junior position in late 1990’s.China Pakistan relations has expanded since then due to CPEC and geopolitical development and China now has a large Embassy compound in Islamabad which rivals the US presence in Diplomatic enclave.=DNA

Chinese DCM, Lijian Zhao leaving Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, AUG 03 (DNA) – Chinese Deputy Chief of Mission in Pakistan, Lijian Zhao , is leaving with effect from 8th August. He has been replaced by another senior diplomat, Ms. Pang Chunxue who is already in Islamabad.Zhao had served on more than one occasion in Islamabad. Altogether he served more than eight years in Pakistan.He became the first Chinese diplomat in Islamabad who effectively used twitter to explain things about CPEC projects and Pak-China relations and became a house hold name in Pakistan.

Young bureaucrats urged to learn from Japanese experience

ISLAMABAD, AUG 03 (DNA) – Secretary Economic Affairs Division Noor Ahmed has exhorted the young bureaucrats to put in their best efforts in order to excel in life.While addressing to a batch of young bureaucrats selected for skill development program offered by government of Japan, the Secretary said while in Japan they have to act as ambassadors of Pakistan.He said having been visited Japan on a number of occasions he could share with them the way Japanese nation had made progress by leaps and bounds in all fields.He said Japanese are a hardworking nation and there are many things which can be learnt there.The Federal Secretary said both Pakistan and Japan enjoy excellent relations, which are constantly on the move.

India violates Geneva Convention by using cluster bombs on civilians: ISPR

ISLAMABAD (DNA) – The Indian Army has used cluster ammunition to target the civilian population across the Line of Control (LoC) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) in violation of the Geneva Convention and international law, according to a statement released by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor on Saturday.The Indian military, on the intervening night of July 30 and 31, targeted innocent citizens including women and children in Neelum Valley through artillery using cluster ammunition – resulting in the martyrdom of two civilians, including a boy, as per the statement.

Ambassador Iwan Amri attends palm oil moot in Jakarta

Japan dispatches 18 trainees in human resource development

ISLAMABAD, AUG 02 (DNA) –    A send-off ceremony for 18 trainees in Human Resource Development Scholarship Program (JDS) was held today in Islamabad at the residence of Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan.This program was launched in Pakistan in 2018. The main objective of JDS is to strengthen the administrative capacities of government of Pakistan for social and economic development. This program targets young government officials, who are expected to play a leadership role in the development of their country.This year, eighteen competent civil servants from thirteen different departments enrolled in six different universities will study in Japan.They get benefit from this program to achieve the key objectives of acquiring expert knowledge, conduct research, and build human networks.

Ambassador Khalilzad discussed regional peace during his visit: US embassy

US peace envoy meets PM Imran Khan
