ISLAMABAD, MAR 11 (DNA) – British High Commissioner Dr Christian Turner CMG has celebrated and paid tribute to the women parliamentarians of Pakistan as part of a series of events held to mark International Women’s Day.The British High Commission arranged a forum bringing together eight women parliamentarians – from a range of parties and regions – to discuss and share their stories as political leaders.
President Ilham Aliyev attends first session of parliament’s sixth convocation
BAKU, MAR 10 – The first session of the Azerbaijani Parliament’s sixth convocation has been held. President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the session.Opening the event, head of the Administration of Azerbaijani Parliament Safa Mirzayev congratulated the MPs.The oldest member of the newly-formed Parliament Ziyad Samadzade, who chaired the session, declared it open.Ziyad Samadzade then read out the names of newly-elected MPs.The national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was then played.
Art work of Saudi female artists displayed at national art gallery

Palestine envoy for deeper business ties between two countries
RAWALPINDI, MAR 10 (DNA) – Palestinian ambassador to Pakistan Ahmed Jawad Rabie has said that his country considers Pakistan as his brother and trusted friend.Pakistan is one of the most important countries in the Islamic world and its role is praiseworthy for the Muslim Brotherhood.Talking to President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Saboor Malik at Chamber house here on Tuesday, the Ambassador said that there was a need for promoting relations between the business community of both countries to promote economic cooperation between Palestine and Pakistan.
International Women’s Day celebrated at Serena

PTC launches 2nd chapter of its exports initiative “Made in Pakistan”

Azerbaijan ambassador hosts reception to celebrate Novruz

Case registered against men who attacked Islamabad Aurat March
ISLAMABAD, MAR 9 (DNA) – A case has been registered against the group of 30 to 35 unknown men who attacked the Aurat March in Islamabad on Sunday.The case was registered at the Kohsar police station on behalf of City Magistrate Ghulam Murtaza.The FIR contained sections 147 (punishment for rioting), 149 (every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object), 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions), 188 (disobedience to order duty promulgated by public servant), 298 (uttering words etc with deliberate intent to wound religious feelings), 341 (wrongful restraint) and 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
German, French Ambassadors mark Women’s Day with Pak female journalists
