Pakistan requests KSA to continue flight operations till March 25

ISLAMABAD, Mar 14 (DNA): Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has
approached Saudi Civil Aviation following the threat of the coronavirus
to request the continuation of flight operations from Saudi Arabia until
March 25.According to details, Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority s letter to
Saudi Civil Aviation states that around 5000 Pakistanis want to return
from Saudi Arabia, while 5000 Pakistanis are currently waiting for a
flight to Saudi Arabia.

CDNS achieves collection target of Rs150bn by Mar 10

ISLAMABAD, MAR 13 (DNA) – The Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS) has achieved collection net target of Rs150 billion by March,10 of fiscal year 2019-20.The CDNS has set Rs 352 billion annual collection target for the year 2019-20 as compared to Rs 324 billion for the previous year’s 2018-19 to enhance savings and promoting saving culture in the country, senior official of CDNS said.

Saudi Arabia announces 72-hour deadline for iqama holders to return

Panic ensued amongst travellers after Saudi Arabia announced on Thursday a 72-hour deadline for iqama holders (residents) from 12 countries, including Pakistan, to return to the Kingdom.The decision was taken amid fears of the global coronavirus pandemic.Following the announcement, travellers crowded offices of the Pakistan International Airline in Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot and other areas of the country. They have complained that the airline is only issuing tickets for two dates–March 16 and March 18–and is charging double the price for these tickets.

PCB cuts short PSL after some foreign players opt to leave Pakistan over coronavirus

LAHORE, MAR 13 – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday decided to cut short the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020 and hold the final match of the tournament on March 18 instead of March 23.According to a press release by the cricketing body, the playoff match has been replaced by the semi-finals, which will be held in Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on March 17; one at 2pm and the second at 7pm. The final will also take place at the Gaddafi Stadium at 7pm on March 18.

President Alvi praises important role of Qatar in hosting Afghan peace talks

French ambassador comments on latest tension at Azerbaijani-Armenian border

BAKU, MAR 11 –  Government of France supports continuing of negotiations on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Zacharie Gross said, commenting on the latest tension at Armenian-Azerbaijani border, Trend reports on Wednesday.France hopes that in 2020 these negotiations will successfully continue and no escalation between Armenia and Azerbaijan take place, he noted.

Uzbek envoy expresses condolences to family of martyred PAF Pilot
