FM Qureshi meets Saudi counterpart, discusses Kashmir issue and regional peace

NEW YORK (DNA) – Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi met his counterpart from Saudi Arabia – Adel al-Jubeir – on the sidelines of the 74th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session in New York and discussed Kashmir issue and regional peace.Shah Mehmood Qureshi said eight million Muslims in India-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJK) have set their on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the platform continuously needs to raise voice against the wave of Indian barbarities on Kashmiris.

Ministries of justice of Uzbekistan and Pakistan sign MoU

On September 25, 2019, the Ministries of Justice of Uzbekistan and Pakistan signed the Memorandum of Cooperation.The Memorandum provides for cooperation in such areas as raising the level of legal awareness and legal culture of citizens, protecting human rights and civil liberties, rulemaking, providing legal services, training and advanced training of legal personnel and other areas of mutual interest.Minister R. Davletov noted that signing this Memorandum will give a new impetus to development of bilateral cooperation between the judicial authorities of the two countries.

French Parliament takes up Kashmir issue for first time

PARIS (DNA) – French Parliament has taken up the escalating conflict of occupied Kashmir for the first time during a conference “Kashmir – the oldest conflict of the World”.According to details, the issue was highlighted by President of Pakistan-France Friendship Group in the French National Assembly Mr. Jean Bernard Sempastous.The conference was attended by the members of the French parliament, scholars, researchers, human rights activists and French and Pakistani media in large numbers.

Air chief awards medals among winners of khunjerab highest altitude road marathon

ISLAMABAD, SEPT 25 (DNA) – Prize distribution ceremony of Khunjerab Highest Altitude Road Marathon was held at Serena Hotel Islamabad.Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force was the chief guest at the occasion. Air Marshal Aasim Zaheer, President Winter Sports Federation of Pakistan along with ambassadors of friendly countries and high-ranking PAF officers were also present in the ceremony.Addressing at the occasion, the Air Chief lauded the efforts of the organisers and sponsors for arranging this historic sporting event.

Three Lt. Generals of Pakistan Army retire

ISLAMABAD (DNA). Three Lt. General of Pakistan Army have retired from Service. These Lt. General include Lt. General Asim Saleem Bajwa, Lt General Sadiq Ali and Lt. General Aamir Riaz.Lt. Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa had served as DG ISPR. He is believed to have turned ISPR into a full fledge media corps. During his tenure ISPR was streamlined on modern footings.

PIA to start direct flights to Malaysia from Oct 14

ISLAMABAD, SEPT 25 (DNA) – PIA is expanding its wings towards Kuala Lumpur and starting direct flights from October 14.PIA will now be flying to Kaula Lumpur from Islamabad twice a week on every Monday and Friday.Direct flights have been a consistent demand of especially the business community. The direct flights shall ostensibly enhance business activity between the two countries.The Malaysian and Pakistan authorities have been working day and night to get this done and finally their efforts have yielded results.

Turkish ambassador, his spouse spend busy time at an Orphanage

ISLAMABAD, SEPT 25 (DNA)  Ambassador of Turkey Mustafa Yurdakul and Madame Yurdakul attended re-opening ceremony of Begum Razia Khudad Orphanage which is renovated jointly by Turkish TIKA and Bait-ul Mal.The ambassador remained in the Orphanage for some time and met with the children residing in the Orphanage.The Turkish organization TIKA is engaged in charity works. TİKA works with an approach that involves sharing Turkey’s development experience with other countries and relies on an understanding of “cooperation partnership”.
