Indonesian Embassy hosts FAMTRIP for Pak Journalists and social media influencers

ISLAMABAD, OCT 12 (DNA) -Tourism is an excellent way to promote people to people contacts.

Tourism is generally about leisure and pleasure but it is true that it gives opportunity to people of various cultures to assimilate together and build appreciation for the cultural diversity.  It also brings entrepreneur, intellectuals, writers, students and professionals together and opens up windows of many opportunities to learn and benefit from.

No wonder, Indonesia takes pride of having top tourist destination of the world and it receives millions of foreign tourists annually from all corners of the world who get inspired and fascinated by the endless and exceptional beauty and diversity of the country.

However, it is also true that people in Pakistan by and large are unaware about the huge tourism opportunities in Indonesia and consequently very few Pakistanis visit Indonesia.

Ceasefire Violations by India on 10th October 2019

The Director General (SA & SAARC), Dr. Mohammad Faisal, summoned the Indian Deputy High Commissioner Mr. Gaurav Ahluwalia again today and condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian occupation forces along the Line of Control (LoC) in Sharda, Nezapir, Satwal and Bagsar Sectors on 10th October 2019. Due to indiscriminate and unprovoked firing by Indian Army in Sharda Sector of LOC, one innocent child Faizan s/o Faiz Mir aged 10 years embraced shahadat and others sixteen innocent civilians, including six children and two ladies, sustained serious injuries. In addition to that, two got injured including a lady in Nezapir, three got injured including a child and a lady in Satwal Sector, and one got injured in Bagsar Sector.

ISLAMABAD, OCT 11 (DNA) – Spanish Ambassador Manuel Durán Giménez-Rico has said that Pakistan and Spain have been enjoying cordial relations and trade ties between the two countries are growing, but more efforts are needed to enhance bilateral trade volume in various sectors.

He said that Spain gives great importance to Pakistan for its trade ties, offering equal opportunity for this country to capture European trade markets.

The Spanish ambassador was talking to All Pakistan Business Forum President Syed Maaz Mahmood during a meeting held at the Embassy on Friday.

Iranian oil tanker hit by explosions near Jeddah

TEHRAN An Iranian oil tanker was hit by missiles in Red Sea earlier on Friday, causing damage in its two major tanks and oil is spilling into the sea.

According to Public Relations and International Affairs Department of National Iranian Oil Company, the oil tanker named SABITY belonging to the company sustained damages to the body when it was hit by missiles 60 miles from the Saudi port city of Jeddah.

Three Majors of Pakistan army dismissed for illegal activities

RAWALPINDI, (DNA) -Three majors awarded punishment on account of breach of discipline / misconduct. Upon found guilty of charges levelled against them, all three dismissed from service while two also awarded rigorous imprisonment for two years each. UNDP’s GLOF II project helps GB residents have access to clean drinking water

ISLAMABAD, OCT 10 (DNA) -: The GLOF II project in collaboration with University of Baltistan (UoB), AKRSP and Wafa Foundation Skardu inaugurated a Glacier Grafting campaign in Kuwardo village today. Over a hundred volunteers from the local community participated with a high female participation. University of Baltistan currently working on research and development in Baltistan will provide technical support for the campaign. Prior to the inauguration, local community volunteers were trained by experts for Glacier grafting.  Senior Minister GB, Haji Akbar Taban, Assistant Resident Representative, UNDP, Mr. Amanullah Khan and other dignitaries from government departments, and University of Baltistan were present at the inauguration.

Hate speech case: MQM founder indicted in London

LONDON (DNA News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) London-based chief has been indicted on charges of terrorism in a case pertaining to hate speech from the United Kingdom to his followers in Pakistan in 2016.

“Altaf Hussain… was charged under section 1(2) of the Terrorism Act (TACT) 2006 with encouraging terrorism,” the Met Police said in a statement on its website.

The charge as stated by the UK police is that Hussain “on August 22, 2016 published a speech to crowds gathered in Karachi, Pakistan which were likely to be understood by some or all of the members of the public to whom they were published as a direct or indirect encouragement to them to the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism and at the time he published them, intended them to be so encouraged, or was reckless as to whether they would be so encouraged”.
