BALI, INDONESIA, OCT 23 (DNA)- Dr. R. Sigit Sitjaksono Director  of Tourism Marketing for South and Central Asia, Middle East and Africa has said Indonesia has set a target of 20 million tourists in 2019 adding Indonesian tourism industry’s contribution to national earnings was around five percent.

He expressed these views while talking to Pakistan media persons during a reception he hosted for the FAMTRIP participants, in Bali.

Komang Mahawira Deputy Director for South Asia and Central Asia Marketing, Ministry of Tourism was also present on the occasion.

President Arif Alvi meets Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Tokyo

TOKYO, (DNA) – President of Pakistan Arif Alvi met the Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe at the Prime Minister’s Office this morning.The President expressed his heartfelt condolences on the loss of precious lives caused by the recent Typhoon Hagibis in Japan and wished the injured early recovery.The President felicitated the Prime Minister on the Enthronement of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan and hoped that the new Japanese era “Reiwa” would bring more prosperity and well-being for the friendly people of Japan.

Saudi Arabia extends its support for Pakistan at every level

ISLAMABAD, OCT 22 (DNA) – Saudi Arabia on Tuesday extended its support for Pakistan at every level, it could.This was stated by Saudi ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, in his meeting with Interior Minister Ijaz Ahmed Shah, in the federal capital.Malki said his country is ready to support Islamabad at every level and added that both the countries enjoying brotherly relations.Expressing his views on the occasion, bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have saw a great improvement in the recent past.

LAHORE (DNA) – Pakistani famous singer-actor Farhan Saeed has requested all his fans to report his Facebook account after his profile and page has gotten hacked by some anonymous users.‘Suno Chanda’ actor took to Instagram and epressed, “My personal Facebook and my Facebook page both have been hacked since yesterday. Please report. To hacker, I am sure it’s a great source of fun for you but this is one sacred means for an artist to be in touch with his/her fans and it takes a lot of hard work to build all this. Kindly stop doing this.”Many heart-broken fans reacted to his post and expressed.

Loan disbursement under Kamyab Jawan Program to start from December

ISLAMABAD, OCT 22 (DNA) – Special Assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Youth Affairs Usman Dar said the disbursement of loans under Kamyab Jawan Program will be started from December this year.Addressing a news conference on Tuesday, he said youth showed immense interest in the program and about 259,767 applications have so far been received. Usman Dar was confident that the Kamyab Jawan Program will prove to be a game-changer for the development of the country’s economy.

Flores Island is located in the Eastern part of Indonesia. Portuguese traders and missionaries came to Flores in the 16th century.Their influence is still discernible in Sikka’s language, culture and religion. As history suggests, the first Portuguese visit took place in 1511.Dutch and Portuguese always remained at the logger heads in order to have sway over the island.

Report found alarming discrimination in educational institution

ISLAMABAD, OCT 21 (DNA) – The newly launched report on ‘education and inequality’ found alarming discrimination in educational institutions based on religion, faith or belief.The report called for radical shift and reforms in legislation and urged the need for teachers training and behavioral transformation of society as a whole.The launch of the report titled “Education and Inequality: Discerning the Foundation of Citizenry”, was organized by the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) here at Islamabad.The report was jointly conducted by The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) and The Institute of Development Research and Corresponding Capabilities (IDRAC).
