DUSHANBE, 02.01.2020. (DNA) –The governments of Tajikistan and Afghanistan signed an agreement to construct a railway connecting Jaloliddin Balkhi, Jayhun-Panji Poyon (Tajikistan) and Sherkhon Bandar (Afghanistan).The document was signed by Tajikistan’s Transport Minister Khudoyor Khudoyorzoda and the CEO of Afghanistan Railway Authority Mohammad Yamma Shams.
ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan is on Friday chairing a meeting of the parliamentary party in order to get the Army Act Amendment Bill passed.The bill will be presented in the National Assembly first followed by the Senate and is likely to be approved today from both houses as Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) decided to back the amendment bill.

ISLAMABAD, DEC 31 (DNA) – On the directives of the Government of Pakistan, a special PIA flight has been arranged to bring Pakistani illegal immigrants from Malaysia on Tuesday, 31 December 2019.The Government of Malaysia introduced a Back4good (B4G) Amnesty Scheme to facilitate voluntary repatriation to countries of origin starting from 1 August 2019 and ending on 31 December 2019.As a result of extensive efforts by the High Commission of Pakistan in Kuala Lumpur, over 8000 Pakistanis have returned home safely under this Amnesty Scheme, without facing detention or fines.

Moscow, Dec 30, DNA – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said here on Monday that he is confident that the Western partners are purposefully creating crisis and tension in the Persian Gulf, south of Iran.
Lavrov made the remarks in a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif who arrived in the Russian capital on Sunday night. In the meeting, Lavrov said Russia and Iran have already presented proposals on ensuring security and stability.
