Tehran, Jan 5, — Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Commander Major General Hossein Salami on Saturday described Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani as architect of US strategic defeats over the past decades, saying that his assassination marks the end of the US presence in the region. Vowing severe revenge for Soleimani assassination, he said that the IRGC will certainly take a painful and regrettable revenge from America, but its timing and scale are not known.

Today, Kashmiris around the world are observing the 71st anniversary of the United Nations’ commitment that the Jammu and Kashmir dispute would be decided through the democratic method of a free and impartial plebiscite under the UN auspices. Iran, Pakistan sign border agreement
Islamabad, Jan 3, — Iran and Pakistan on Friday signed an agreement to strengthen border and security cooperation at the conclusion of the three-day session of the 23rd meeting of Iran-Pakistan joint border commission.The signing ceremony of the border agreement was held in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan with members of two countries, including Iran’s Consul General Mohammad Rafiee.Deputy Governor-General for security affairs of Sistan and Baluchestan, Mohammad Hadi Marashi and Balochistan province secretary-general Fazil Asghar signed the border agreement as heads of the two countries’ delegations.

Abdulaziz Kamilov: The Taliban said they are ready to stop hostilities
A meeting of the international press club was held in Tashkent. During the event, Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov delivered a speech.“On December 27, we received the news. The Taliban said they are ready to end hostilities, the use of weapons and violence. This decision may open the door for direct negotiations with the Government of Afghanistan. Railway Construction Agreement Signed Between with Afghanistan

DUSHANBE, 02.01.2020. (DNA) –The governments of Tajikistan and Afghanistan signed an agreement to construct a railway connecting Jaloliddin Balkhi, Jayhun-Panji Poyon (Tajikistan) and Sherkhon Bandar (Afghanistan).
The document was signed by Tajikistan’s Transport Minister Khudoyor Khudoyorzoda and the CEO of Afghanistan Railway Authority Mohammad Yamma Shams.
