CPEC will further strengthen Pakistan-China ties, says FM Qureshi

ISLAMABAD (DNA) – Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Wednesday has said that Pakistan-China Economic Corridor (CPEC) will help in strengthening ties between both the countries.
Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad, the foreign minister said that other countries are also investing in the project as it enters into next phase.
The Foreign Minister said the United States played a pivotal diplomatic role in the current situation to reduce the tension.He thanked US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo for playing an active role in de-escalating tension between Pakistan and India.

Syed Samsam Ali Bukhari takes oath as Punjab Information Minister

Saudi Arabia pledges $500 million in support for UN humanitarian plan for Yemen

JEDDAH: (DNA) –  Saudi Arabia has pledged $500 million to finance the United Nations Humanitarian Response Plan for Yemen, it was announced on Tuesday.The announcement was made during a Saudi cabinet meeting headed by King Salman.Following the meeting, Information Minister Turki Abdullah Al-Shabana said in a statement that the Kingdom’s donation was in addition to the $500 million declared earlier this year for a food aid programme for Yemen called the ‘Imdad’ initiative.

44 belonging to banned organisations arrested: Shehryar Afridi
