Pakistani editor-in-chief: “We have mutual love between our peoples” – INTERVIEW

A Pakistani delegation of journalists visited the Report Information Agency to monitor the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan. We present an interview with Ansar Bhatti  , Editor-in-Chief of Diplomatic News Agency and Centreline :

– Welcome to Azerbaijan. What is the main purpose of your visit?

– Thank you. This is my fifth visit to Azerbaijan. I first came to Azerbaijan in 2011 to cover the Baku Humanitarian Forum. Since then, I have had visits at different times. The main purpose of our current visit is to monitor and cover the February 9 parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan. Based on our observations, I can say that the pre-election process is at a very high level and everything is well organized. 

Over one million Azerbaijanis became IDPs after Nagorno Karabakh occuption

BAKU,   – More than one million Azerbaijanis became internally displaced persons as a result of occupation of the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven adjacent regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan and ethnic cleansing policy carried out by Armenia. The Armenian community of the Nagorno Karabakh region, who are citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan have been deprived of their electoral rights, along with other constitutional rights due to the occupation by Armenia. 

Media role stressed in further developing Pak-Azerbaijan ties

BAKU, FEB 7 (DNA)=  Azerbaijan and Pakistan enjoy excellent relations in all fields and these relations have grown steadily and strongly with each passing day. Both countries have cooperated with each other on various forums and Azerbaijan is indebted to Pakistan for not recognizing Armenia that occupies Azerbaijani territory Nagorno- Karabakh.Aslan Aslanov Chairman of the Board, Vice President of OANA and Azerbaijan State News Agency AZERTAC said this while talking to a media delegation from Pakistan. A 12-member delegation comprising senior media persons is currently in Baku to observe upcoming parliamentary elections to be held on February 09.

Iran envoy meets CJCSC General Nadeem Raza

Islamabad, Feb 6, — Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan’s Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee have agreed to boost military cooperation and joint border security between the two states.Mohammad Ali Hosseini met with General Nadeem Raza at army headquarters in Rawalpindi on Thursday.During the meeting, the two sides emphasized the expansion of cooperation in the field of border management, strengthening military and security relations.Iranian ambassador and Pakistani General discussed regional developments and reasons for instability in the area.

Azerbaijan discloses results of research related to parliamentary elections

BAKU, FEB 06  – – The Azerbaijani Resource Analytical Information Center has published the results of research in connection with the early parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan, Head of the center, political expert Rasim Guliyev said.“The center was registered in August 2019,” Guliyev said, reports referring to the Analytical Information Resource Center.“The center’s goal is to research and analyze the ongoing events in the country, region and the world,” head of the center added.“We conducted the research in connection with the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan. Some 5,238 voters, as well as a big number of MP candidates were registered as part of the elections,” Guliyev said.

BAKU, FEB 06 –  Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are an integral part of recent reforms in the country. This is important for the further development of Azerbaijan, founder of “Can Azerbaycan” Media Company Namig Kamal told.Stating that last week, he visited Baku in connection with the presentation of the book “Cry, carnation, cry”, which reflects Black January events and is published by “Can Azerbayan” Media Company in Turkey, Yildirim said: “I felt inspiring and reviving atmosphere in the city. Everyone I talked to was preparing for the February 9 parliamentary elections. The work carried out by the Azerbaijani government towards the democratic and transparent elections is clearly visible. This is a worthy point”.

Nejdet Unuvar says Parliamentary elections will significantly contribute to reforms conducted in Azerbaijan

BAKU, FEB 06 — The parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan will be held in democratic conditions and will give significant contribution to the country’s further development, former head of the Azerbaijani-Turkish inter-parliamentary friendship group of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Nejdet Unuvar told.Noting that every election is essential in terms of the strengthening of a country, Unuvar said: “Each election held in Azerbaijan strengthens the country economically, socially and politically. In addition, every election means renewal, getting the support of people again. I am confident that these elections would significantly contribute to the reforms in Azerbaijan”.

BAKU (TREND/DNA) A group of leading media representatives from Pakistan arrived in Baku to cover the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan.

AZERBAIJAN ELECTIONS: Head of OSCE election observation mission visited state committee

BAKU, FEB 06 — Chairman of the State Committee for Refugee and IDP Affairs Rovshan Rzayev has met with head of the Election Observation Mission of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), Ambassador Peter Taylor and the election analyst Masa Janjusevic, the State Committee told.Rovshan Rzayev provided an insight into the current state of the refugees and IDPs who had been displaced from their homeland as a result of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as well as the state care shown to them.
