Death toll rises to 123 as two more die of measles

LAHORE: Two more children have died in Punjab as the overall death toll from the measles outbreak rose to 123 in the province. As many as 14,823 children are suffering from the disease in Punjab. Two children identified as Anam and Saira died of the outbreak here today. They hailed from Lahore and Muridkay respectively.

Landmine blast kills child, injures five in Dera Bugti

QUETTA: A child was killed and another five injured in a landmine explosion in Balochistan’s troubled Dera Bugti district on Thursday, an official said. Abdul Hameed, a levies official told Dawn.com that a child was killed and five people including four children were injured in a landmine explosion in Loti area of Dera Bugti district. “All victims belong to one family,” said Hameed, adding the head of the family and his five children were injured in the landmine blast. He said one of the children, who suffered serious wounds, succumbed to injuries on way to hospital.

Dernbach added to England squad for ODIs
