PESHAWAR SEPT 28 (DNA) -The Youth Parliament Alumni Association PILDAT in collaboration with the TransAction KP and Blue Veins distributed 25 sewing machines to the transgender community in Press Club, Peshawar. The funds came from YPAA members itself and the common citizens of Pakistan.

India, Afghanistan reach agreement for air corridor

KABUL, 25 SEPT (DNA) – India and Afghanistan have reached an agreement for establishment of an air corridor. “We reached an agreement with India for establishment of an air corridor, to send Afghan goods through the air. President Ashraf Ghani,” Pajhwok Afghan News tweeted quoting Afghan President Ashraf Ghani as saying.

Ghani during his two-day visit to India last week urged the Indian businessmen to use the air route for trade in a bid to help free his landlocked country from the constraints of those neighbours, who do not wish his country well.

PIA reschedules tomorrow’s flights to Gilgit and Skardu

ISLAMABAD: The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the National Assembly said on Thursday that all organisations using public money were subject to audit and ordered the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) to get its accounts audited from the Auditor General Pakistan Revenues (AGPR).

The PAC observed that passage of the 18th Amendment did not absolve any of the organisations using public funds and receiving money from the government kitty from the obligation of getting their accounts audited.

RAWALPINDI: A contingent of Russian ground forces arrived in Pakistan on Friday for the first ever joint Pak-Russian exercise kicking off Sept 24.

The two-week-long exercise is expected to continue until Oct 10, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations Asim Bajwa said.

The exercises with Russian ground forces come at a time when tensions between Pakistan and India are running high following an attack on the Uri military camp in India-held Kashmir.
