LAHORE (DNA) – Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz on Monday appeared before accountability court in Ashiana Housing and Ramzan Sugar Mills references.
During the hearing, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president and Opposition Leader in National Assembly (NA) Shehbaz Sharif’s exemption plea has been approved by the judge. The hearing has been adjourned till May 11. Talking to media outside the court, Hamza Shahbaz said that the inflation has increased ahead of the holy month of Ramzan. Government ministers are doing nothing except criticism, he added. The PML-N leader said that the incumbent government has failed to run country.

U.S. declines Indian request to share data on Pakistan’s F-16s
ISLAMABAD, APR 29 (DNA) – The U.S. government has reportedly declined India’s request to share information on the use of F-16 fighter jets by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) during a dogfight along the Line of Control (LoC) on February 27 when Indian Air Force (IAF) violated Pakistan’s airspace.“Soon after we were informed by the Indian side about Pakistan using F-16 aircraft on February 27, we informed the Indians that we will not be sharing any information on the subject as it is a bilateral matter between the US and Pakistan”.
US will continue normal consular operations at embassy in Islamabad: FO
ISLAMABAD, APR 29 (DNA) – Foreign Office on Monday has termed as misleading the media reports about a US Federal Registry notification on introduction of new rules on consular matters.In a statement, the Foreign Office said there are ongoing discussions between Pakistan and the United States on consular matters including repatriation issues.It said both countries are working bilaterally on these issues consistent with their respective laws and have made considerable progress.

Pervaiz Musharraf to appear before special court on May 2
LAHORE (DNA) – Former president Pervaiz Musharraf has decided to return to country to face a high treason case in special court.According to media reports, lawyer of former military czar, Advocate Salman Safdar said despite his deteriorating health condition, Musharraf was determined to appear before the court that had summoned him for the hearing scheduled for May 2.The lawyer said because of his fragile health condition the approval of his personal physician in the current circumstances is necessary, however, family sources have confirmed his arrival date, he added.

Pakistan relaxes visa regime for 48 countries
ISLAMABAD, APR 27 (DNA) – Pakistan on Saturday announced to have relaxed visa regime for 48 countries.Out of these 48 countries all nationals of five countries will visit Pakistan without any visa. These countries include Nepal, Maldives, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago and Western Samoe.
