Govt to welcome British investment in CPEC: FM Qureshi

ISLAMABAD (DNA) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Thursday said that the government would welcome British investment in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.Addressing a forum on CPEC in Islamabad on Thursday, he said that matters pertaining to CPEC had been discussed in his meeting with his British counterpart.The foreign minister said that the CPEC is flagship project of the Belt and Road project, adding that the Chinese projects are of commercial and public nature.

Japanese ambassador for further intensifying bilateral cooperation

Opposition leader in NA rejects federal budget

ISLAMABAD: (DNA) –  Leader of Opposition Shehbaz Sharif has rejected the federal budget for 2019-20, presented by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, last week.“The new budget has deprived masses of their rights, we reject it”, Shehbaz said while opening the debate on the budget in National Assembly.He criticized the PTI’s ten-month performance in government saying the price hike has added to the woes of the common man.

Production orders are not for those arrested in money laundering cases: Ali Zaidi

ISLAMABAD (DNA) – Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi on Wednesday has said that the production orders are issued for the political prisoners and not for those arrested in money laundering cases.The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader took to Twitter and posted that the production orders are not for the criminals booked in money laundering and corruption cases, however, political prisoners can get benefit from them.

Uzbekistan approves state anti-corruption program on combating corruption         

TASHKENT, JUN 19 (DNA) – A decree of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev “On measures to further improve the anti-corruption system in the Republic of Uzbekistan” dated May 27, 2019 foresees the State Anti-Corruption Program for 2019–2020 and renewed board of Republican interagency commission on combating anti-corruption.

Gen. Han Weiguo of China meets PM Imran Khan
