40 dead in New Zealand mosque ‘terror attack’
WELLINGTON: (DNA) – An attack on two crowded mosques during Friday prayers left multiple people dead, police said, on what Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern described as “one of New Zealand’s darkest days”.In a televised address, the prime minister later confirmed the death toll stood at 40.Witnesses spoke of seeing bloodied bodies, with children also believed to be among the dead, and police warned of “extremely distressing footage” of the incident circulating on the internet.
Pakistan to likely face another 41% hike in gas prices from July
ISLAMABAD: (DNA) – Consumers, already reeling from a rise in inflation, should brace for another 41% hike in gas prices from the next financial year beginning July 1, 2019.Already, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had increased gas prices by up to 143% last year and revised consumer slabs, which resulted in inflated bills. As controversy built over the inflated bills, Prime Minister Imran Khan later directed public gas utilities to reimburse the amount to 3.2 million consumers.

Dying Crafts exhibition concludes at Lok Virsa

Kartarpur corridor: Second round of talks scheduled for April 2

Azerbaijan defence minister to arrive on march 21

Facebook, Instagram down for users across the globe
SAN FRANCISCO: (DNA) – Facebook and Instagram users lost access to the social network’s applications in parts of the world Wednesday as a result of an outage of undetermined origin.The California giant which has more than two billion users acknowledged the outage after users noted on Twitter they could not access Facebook or had limited functionality.“We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing the Facebook family of apps. We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as possible,” a Facebook statement said on Twitter.
