KARACHI, NOV 30 (DNA) – Ambassador of Maldives to Pakistan Ahmed Saleem has visited Federation House Karachi on Saturday and where he met with Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, Senior Vice President of FPCCI.Both dignitaries discussed various possible opportunities to promote business activities in Pakistan and Maldives.Later the Senior Vice President of FPCCI, Mirza Ikhtiar Baig presented a crest to Ambassador of Maldives to Pakistan Ahmed Saleem.

Time to lift ban on student unions by Muhammad Arshid

  Students’ union is need of hour in colleges and universities because it is a significant part of university administration as an imperative instrument for overall political development. It has been emphasized that the university is a form of educational institution uniquely created for the overall development and its students should be uniquely organized in form of union so that universities could perform their developmental roles. Students union remains the highest embodiment of structures that are capable of molding university students into future leaders for the development of the country, irrespective of the formal degrees that the students obtain from university. Any university administration that must help its country to achieve its overall socio political goals needs necessarily allow organization of students in forms of unions as several political actors in international politics today can trace their political socialization to students union.

London Bridge: Two killed in stabbing attack

Two members of the public have died and another three people were injured in a stabbing attack at London Bridge, the Met Police’s commissioner has said.Cressida Dick told a press conference the stabbing attack, which has been declared a terrorist incident, began at an event at Fishmonger’s Hall.Within five minutes of being called officers confronted the suspect – who was shot dead by police – she said.The suspect was wearing what is thought to have been a hoax explosive device.He was a former prisoner and convicted of a terrorist offence, sources have told the BBC.The BBC has spoken to people who were inside Fishmonger’s Hall, where a criminal justice event was taking place.

OIC-IPHRC appalled by unending inhuman blockade

‘Bloodbath’: Dozens of protesters killed as army deploys south
