China to develop 19 factories in Gwadar

The Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing said that China is going to develop 19 factories in Gwadar. The aim is to create job opportunities for Balochi youth.Yao Jing said, “China seeks to contribute to the overall development of Balochistan’s mining, agriculture, fisheries and water sectors. The Chinese consulate is easing the visa procedure for the businessman community.”The Chinese ambassador said that 200 students from Pakistan have received scholarships in China. He denied the rumors about the lack of interest of the Chinese government in the development projects in Balochistan.

Australian man found after two weeks stranded in outback

A second person has been found alive two weeks after becoming stranded in Australia’s outback.Phu Tran, 40, was discovered on Tuesday on a remote farm in the Northern Territory (NT), police said.Mr Tran was part of a trio who became stranded when their car got stuck in a riverbed on 19 November. They later split up to find help.Tamra McBeath-Riley, 52, was found on Sunday, but her partner, 46-year-old Claire Hockridge, remains missing.Mr Tran was found by a farmer who was performing checks on the vast property – known locally as a station – about 160km (100 miles) south of the town of Alice Springs, NT Police said.

Massive crackdown against drug selling in Capital continues

during the last 24 hours in its crackdown against criminal elements and
recovered narcotics, liquor and weapons from them, a police spokesman.

Zulfqar Khan, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations) Waqar Ud
Din Syed issued directions to all zonal officers for renewed efforts
against those involved in anti-social activities.

ICCI hails FBR assurance not to conduct raids on taxpayers

ISLAMABAD, Dec 012 (DNA): The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry
(ICCI) has welcomed the assurance of Shabbar Zaidi, Chairman FBR for not
carrying out raids on places of registered taxpayers for collection of
income tax and sales tax and termed it a positive approach as it would
reduce the element of harassment from the business community and enable
them to focus on promoting business activities with more confidence.

Nigerian club FC Ifeanyi Ubah’s bus attacked by armed robbers

A bus carrying Nigerian Premier League side FC Ifeanyi Ubah was attacked by armed robbers leaving some players “critically injured” according to the club.FC Ifeanyi Ubah confirmed the bus was shot at near Lokoja, capital of the central state of Kogi, as it drove players to an away match against Jigawa Golden Stars in Kano in the north of the country.“The driver was shot while some members of the coaching crew and players were critically injured. The affected persons are currently being treated and are responding to treatment,” the club said in a statement. 

Margalla Hills may have a chairlift

installing a chairlift for tourists.The benefits of this will be two-fold, according to the ministry: people
will be able to visit the area and get a great view, and they’ll stop
using so many cars.Environmental experts have also endorsed this idea. Every day, 5,000 cars
cross the foothills of the Margalla. Officials want to protect the hills
and Islamabad’s national parks.

Youth picks up litter from the Margalla Hills Trail-5

The two-week long event is being organised by the Devcom-Pakistan (Development Communications Network) to commemorate the importance of mountains.Margalla Hills clean-up was supported by the Comsats University’s CS Adventure Club, Shad Foundation, Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB) and United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (UNFAO). Electric vehicles manufacturer BYD is coming to Pakistan soon

World s largest electric vehicles manufacturer BYD is all set to enter Pakistan. The announcement was made by Pakistan Electric Vehicles & Parts Manufacturers and Traders Association (PEVPMTA) General Secretary Shaukat Qureshi while talking to local media.“Toyota, the world auto giant, for the first time signed an agreement on November 7, 2019, to develop Electric Vehicles with BYD, the world’s largest electric vehicles manufacturer, with 44 plants around the globe employing 250,000 personals, with turnover of $250 billion,” he said. “Scenario will definitely change in Pakistan as well, with the Japanese companies roll out their models by 2024,” he added.
