National Day of Thailand celebrated

KARACHI, DEC 10 : The National Day of Thailand was celebrated by the Royal Thai Consulate General (RTCG) at a local hotel in Karachi.The Consul General of Thailand, Thatree Chauvachata also paid a rich tribute on the Birthday Anniversary of HM the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great and Thailand’s Father’s Day during the event.Addressing on the occasion, CG of Thailand said thanked all the guests for making their presence on the auspicious day including the members of the business community, diplomats, social personalities, members of KCCI, FPCCI, KATI and other trade bodies as well.

Measures identified for organization of fruit and vegetable clusters

Tashkent, Uzbekistan — On 9 December, a meeting on the issues of organization of clusters specializing in horticulture, improving the quality of harvesting and increasing the volume of export of fruits and vegetables was held under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.Strategy for development of the country’s agriculture for 2020-2030 was adopted by the Presidential Decree to increase labor productivity in the agricultural sector and crop productivity. It identifies priority measures for diversifying production, creating favorable climate for agribusiness, the chain of formation of high added value, and using advanced technologies.

The next edition of the Red Book of Uzbekistan presented at the Academy of Sciences

Tashkent, Uzbekistan – The presentation of the next edition of the Red Book of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held at the Institute of Botany of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.This publication is the result of five years of painstaking work by specialized specialists. It was prepared by the Chinor ENK Publishing House in conjunction with the State Committee for Ecology of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

First Deputy General Director of UzA appointed

Pakistan Navy celebrates 48th HANGOR Day

ISLAMABAD, (DNA) – A graceful ceremony was organized by Pakistan Navy at Pakistan Maritime Museum to commemorate 48th HANGOR Day and to pay homage to our heroes.Every year, 9th December is celebrated in Pakistan Navy as HANGOR Day to commemorate the historic event of sinking of Indian Navy Frigate KHUKRI and severely damaging another Indian Navy Ship KIRPAN by Pakistan Navy Submarine HANGOR in 1971 war.The remarkable naval action took place few miles South East off ‘Diu Head’ on west coast of India.

Pakistan condemns discriminatory legislation in Indian Lok Sabha

ISLAMABAD, DEC 10 – The latest legislation by Indian Lok Sabha that offers Indian nationality to the nationals of Pakistan and two other South Asian countries except Muslims is premised on a falsehood and is in complete violation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international Covenants on elimination of all forms of discrimination based on religion or belief. The Lok Sabha legislation is also in complete contravention of various bilateral agreements between Pakistan and India particularly the one concerning security and rights of minorities in the respective countries.

NAB chairman says BRT reference ready

ISLAMABAD (DNA). The NAB chairman Justice ® Javed Iqbal has said  BRT project reference is ready. NAB so far has not moved in this case because of court stay orders.While speaking during a ceremony on Monday the NAB chairman said this impression is false that NAB is only taking action against the opposition parties.BRT project reference is ready adding action must be taken in this regard.Likewise he said corruption has penetrated deep into the society therefore a surgery is direly needed to purge the Augean stables.

The main tasks of the French Cultural Center are determined

Tashkent, Uzbekistan – A government resolution “On the organization of the activities of the French Cultural Center under the Ministry of Culture” was adopted.The resolution defines the main tasks of the French Cultural Center.One of them is to promote the strengthening of cultural and humanitarian ties with the French Republic, to assist in the study of the French language, culture and history of the French Republic.According to the resolution, the director of the Center is appointed and dismissed by the Minister of Culture.
