ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has asked all the Banks operating in Pakistan both in Public and Private sector to provide details of the Bank Accounts held by the Senators and the Members of the National Assembly since 1990.A source in the banking sector privy to the development revealed to DNA that in this regard a letter has also been received by the Manager of Allied Bank, the Parliament Branch in Islamabad that maintains the accounts of all the parliamentarians (Senators and MNAs).

ISLAMABAD, -PTI government’s woes are increasing as allies that provide crucial numbers to the party in the National Assembly to sustain its majority are outing up fresh demands.

Recent meetings between PTI’s negotiations committee and MQM’s Rabta Committee did not go very well. MQM’s side was quite adamant on some of their demands those included billions of Rupees worth packages for Karachi and Hyderabad to be spent on project of their choice, opening of the offices that were closed during the last law & order operation in Karachi and release of its workers who were arrested.

ISLAMABAD, JAN 23 (DNA) – Embassy of Egypt has clarified that no visa sanctions policy has been imposed by Egypt on Pakistani nationals, on Thursday.Officials of the Egyptian embassy said, these allegations are incorrect and no such sanctions policy has been placed by Egypt.The Embassy appreciated the earlier clarification of the Spokesperson of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan who denied such allegations.

LAHORE, JAN 23 (DNA) -Since 2010, the Government of Indonesia has provided scholarships to Pakistani students through 2 schemes, namely Darmasiswa for non-degree program and Developing Countries Partnership (KNB) for master degree.

There are also scholarships given by several well-known campuses from Indonesia.

Ambassador of Indonesia Iwan S Amri disclosed this during his interaction with students and faculty of Virtual University Lahore.

ISLAMABAD, JAN 20 (DNA) -Alice G. Wells, the Acting US Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asia, has said the United States was keen to transform its ties with Pakistan from aid relationship to trade relationship adding tings were moving in the right direction.

She expressed these views while speaking during a reception hosted by former Senator Enver Beg. The dinner reception was attended by several retired generals, diplomats, and prominent journalists.

She said during Prime Minister Imran Khan’s meeting with President Trump both sides had agreed on transforming this relationship with special emphasis on cementing trade and economic ties.

He added, during his four years and eight month tenure in Pakistan he tired his best to bring both Maldives and Pakistan closer in all fields especially trade, economy and tourism.

The outgoing Maldives ambassador expressed these views while speaking during a farewell reception hosted in his honour by Shakil Express. Prominent Pakistani figures and a large number of diplomats attended the farewell reception.

The 9th meeting between the working level groups of Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Joint Staff Headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan took place in Rawalpindi.The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Major General Huseyn Mahmudov, Chief of the International Military Cooperation Department.The sides discussed the current state and prospects of the development of military cooperation, issues of regional security and the strengthening of friendly relations between the armies of the two countries, including holding of joint events in 2020.Following the meeting, a protocol was signed.
