NAB asks banks to provide account details of MPs

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has asked all the Banks operating in Pakistan both in Public and Private sector to provide details of the Bank Accounts held by the Senators and the Members of the National Assembly since 1990.A source in the banking sector privy to the development revealed to DNA that in this regard a letter has also been received by the Manager of Allied Bank, the Parliament Branch in Islamabad that maintains the accounts of all the parliamentarians (Senators and MNAs).
PTI govt woes multiply as allies come up with fresh demands

ISLAMABAD, -PTI government’s woes are increasing as allies that provide crucial numbers to the party in the National Assembly to sustain its majority are outing up fresh demands.
Recent meetings between PTI’s negotiations committee and MQM’s Rabta Committee did not go very well. Embassy of Egypt clarifies no visa sanctions imposed on Pakistani nationals
ISLAMABAD, JAN 23 (DNA) – Embassy of Egypt has clarified that no visa sanctions policy has been imposed by Egypt on Pakistani nationals, on Thursday.Officials of the Egyptian embassy said, these allegations are incorrect and no such sanctions policy has been placed by Egypt.The Embassy appreciated the earlier clarification of the Spokesperson of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan who denied such allegations.

Pakistani airports to scan passengers after outbreak of deadly virus in China: Zafar Mirza

Mazahir Panahov: Central Election Commission received 32 complaints to date
BAKU, – The Central Election Commission (CEC) has received 32 appeals regarding the February 9 Parliamentary elections, Chairman of the CEC Mazahir Panahov has told journalists.He said that, compared to previous elections the number of complaints related to the municipal elections, which was held on December 23, 2019, considerably decreased: “I think we would observe the same situation in connection with the elections to the Milli Majlis as well.
