Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to visit Turkey today
Tashkent , FEB 19 – President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is to visit the Republic of Turkey on February 19-20 at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.In accordance with the schedule, Ankara will host the highest-level meeting and the first session of the bilateral Strategic Cooperation Council chaired by the leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkey.The current state and prospects of interaction in the political, trade, economic, investment, financial, transport and communication, educational, cultural and humanitarian fields and other priority areas are expected to be discussed during the talks. The Presidents will also exchange views on regional and international issues.
Pakistani diplomats visit China’s Wuhan to meet trapped students
ISLAMABAD, FEB 18 (DNA) – A two-member team of diplomats from Pakistan Embassy in Beijing is currently visiting Wuhan city to meet with Pakistani students there.On the request of the Foreign Office, the Chinese Foreign Ministry granted special permission to the diplomats to visit Wuhan, by easing the travel restrictions.The special team met with the students of various Universities and assured them that the Government of Pakistan remained committed to promoting and protecting the welfare of students and easing their hardship.

Ambassador of Japan condoles death of Naeem-ul-Haque

Ex-president Mutallibov calls Armenian PM’s statement on Azerbaijanis’ involvement in Khojaly genocide as ridiculous
BAKU, FEB 16 – — Azerbaijan’s former president Ayaz Mutallibov has dismissed Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement, calling it absurd.“Pashinyan’s statement, in which he claims that as if I said Azerbaijanis were involved in committing the Khojaly genocide is absurd. His remarks lack any real grounds,” he told.“In an interview in which Armenian PM refers, I stated that definitely, there was Armenian trace in Khojaly events. I noted that Armenia was trying to further destabilize the situation in Azerbaijan then. Furthermore, the local opposition was also interested in complicating the situation within the country. I have repeatedly stated that I did not say Azerbaijanis committed the Khojaly genocide. This is ridiculous.”
