APNS shows reservations on Info Ministry’s notification about ads

KARACHI, APR 6 (DNA) – The APNS has expressed its reservations on the notification issued by the Ministry of Information on  April 3 2020 wherein new procedure of release of government advertisements and payment of advertisement bills has been notified. Mr Hameed Haroon President and Sarmad Ali Secretary General APNS have stated that the mechanism was proposed in the Draft Centralised Advertising Policy which has not yet been finalised through the  consultations with the stake holders namely APNS , PBA and PAA as assured by the Ministry of Information. The APNS , PBA and PAA  have already submitted their position papers but so far no consultation meeting has been convened by the Ministry.

Second batch of medical supplies form UAE arrives

ISLAMABAD, APR 5 (DNA) – The second batch of 11 tons of medical aid supplies provided by the UAE government to brothers in Pakistan to combat the Corona virus Covid 19 arrived at Islamabad Airport.Ambassador of UAE Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, confirmed that upon the directives of leadership of UAE the second batch of medical aid containing 11 tones of medical supplies and preventive aids provided by the government of the UAE to brothers in Pakistan to combate Corona virus arrived this Sunday morning to Islamabad International Airport.

Pakistan allows exit of Afghan nationals on humanitarian basis

ISLAMABAD, APR 4 (DNA) – At the special request of the Government of Afghanistan and based on humanitarian considerations, Pakistan has decided to allow the exit of Afghan nationals in Pakistan, wishing to go back to their country.The Torkham and Chaman land border crossings will be opened for a specific period from 6 April to 9 April 2020 to facilitate Afghan nationals.As a neighbor and in view of fraternal bilateral relations, Pakistan remains in abiding solidarity with the people of Afghanistan, particularly at this time of global pandemic.=DNA

This online video conference was the first event of its kind held in Pakistan since the outbreak of corona virus crises which focused on ‘Confronting  coronavirus: Pakistan China relations, CPEC and impact on global order’.
