The two sides discussed the situation on the spread of coronavirus in the world and joint measures to eliminate its consequences.In particular, Charles Michel praised the practical actions and decisions of Kazakhstan’s President to prevent the further spread of COVID-19 in the country. According to him, Kazakhstan is an extremely important partner of the EU in Central Asia. In this regard, Kazakhstan’s involvement in international and regional efforts to combat coronavirus is of great importance and is fully supported by Brussels.

Govt to request use of Dam Fund in fight against coronavirus: Asad Umar

Islamabad police donate 250 blood bottles for thalassemia patients

ISLAMABAD, Apr 02 (DNA): Islamabad Police on Thursday donated 250 bottles of blood for thalassemia patients to overcome shortage of it as the flow of donations has declined due to lockdown in wake of  coronavirus.Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar formally handed over these blood bottles to Chairman Red Crescent Abrar-ul-Haq.Red Crescent, chairman thanked the officials of Islamabad police for donating blood.

Saudi Arabia calls for OPEC meeting

RIYADH, APR 3 (DNA) –  The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia would like draw attention to the efforts it has exerted during the past period to reach an agreement within OPEC + group to restore equilibrium in the oil market as it has garnered the support of as many as 22 countries within OPEC + group, but it was not possible to reach an agreement due to lack of consensus.

Will control coronavirus outbreak using available resources: PM hopes

ISLAMABAD, Apr 2 (DNA):Prime Minister Imran Khan Thursday hoped that the country would overcome the coronavirus outbreak using the available resources as the current trajectory of the growth in Pakistan was relatively slower than that of the western countries.Pakistan does not have the trajectory like other countries. We will overcome the coronavirus considering the current pace of its growth,” the prime minister said addressing a ceremony of distribution of Rs 100 billion refunds among the businessmen.

UAE govt sends medical supplies to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, APR 2 (DNA) – To show solidarity and brotherhood with Pakistan the government of United Arab Emirates has sent first consignment of medical supplies to Pakistan to help government effectively deal with the deadly COVID 19 disease.The medical supplies arrived in Pakistan on Thursday and were immediately handed over the Pakistani authorities. The officials of UAE handed over medical supplies to Pakistani officials.It is learnt that the UAE is expected to send more supplies in the coming days. Pakistan and UAE are time tested friends and have proved this friendship during difficult times.

Pak Embassy helps distressed Pakistanis during coronavirus lockdown in France

PARIS, APR 2 (DNA) – The Embassy of Pakistan in Paris has launched a ration distribution campaign to help those Pakistanis who may face hardship due to coronavirus lockdown in France. This was stated by the Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. Moin ul Haque in a statement issued in Paris today. The Ambassador said that the Embassy in coordination with community associations and local philanthropist organizations will  distribute the essential food items to needy people.
