DiploGreen: Foreign missions join hands for a clean and green diplomatic enclave

ISLAMABAD, AUG 28 (DNA) – Foreign missions on Wednesday morning launched Clean and Green Diplomatic Enclave drive by collecting waste from various parts of the Enclave. The campaign was launched under the DiploGreen initiative spearheaded by Canada, France, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, the UK and the United States.Diplomatic missions gathered in front of the Canadian High Commission early in the morning and then dispersed in various directions to collect waste. A large number of members of civil society also joined foreign missions in this noble cause.

Baku’s foreign policy expands prospects for interaction among think tanks of Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey

The foreign policy format of trilateral cooperation among Azerbaijan, Russia and Turkey, which was initiated by Baku, continued in the form of interaction among think tanks, Head of the Expert Council of the Baku Network, PhD Elkhan Alasgarov told.Alasgarov was commenting on the results of the recent forum of cooperation among Turkey, Russia and Azerbaijan in the field of energy and transport.“The format of the Russia-Turkey-Azerbaijan cooperation has a positive effect on the situation in the South Caucasus and Central Asia,” he said.

FM Qureshi briefs Belgian counterpart on Kashmir

ISLAMABAD, AUG 27 (DNA) -Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi held a telephonic conversation with Foreign Minister Didier Reynders of Belgium today to brief him on the current situation in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.The Foreign Minister highlighted the illegal and unilateral steps taken by the Indian Government to change the disputed status of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and its demographic structure. He added that these steps were in contravention of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir and the International Law.

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulates Mehriban Aliyeva on her birthday

CPEC and Balochistan should grow together, Baloch leaders emphasize in Beijing

Sri Lankan organization donates 50 eye Cornea to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, AUG 27 (DNA) –An NGO of Sri Lanka has donated 50 eye corneas to Pakistan during a ceremony held at the Prime Minister official residence.A delegation from Sri Lanka and Sri Lankan High Commissioner in Pakistan Noordeen Shaheid met with the prime minister.Sight Foundation of Sri Lanka headed by Ifthikhar Aziz donated eye corneas.  The donation of eye corneas was initiated by Sri Lankan High Commission in Islamabad.Prime Minister highly valued and appreciated the humanitarian gesture which would enable people of Pakistan to regain eyesight.

ECP to announce verdict on plea against Maryam’s party post on Sept 3

ISLAMABAD (DNA) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday has postponed its verdict on a plea challenging the appointment of Maryam Nawaz as vice president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).According to details, the verdict will be announced on September 3.Earlier, a three-member bench headed by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) retired Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza had reserved the decision on August 1 and decided to announce it on August 27.However, in today‘s hearing, the commission deferred the verdict for want of more information.
