ISLAMABAD, Aug 02: State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib said that India is afraid of the Kashmir Premier League (KPL) and Modi wants to dominate cricket with coercive thinking but KPL will expose him.
He was speaking as chief guest during the prize distribution ceremony of first RISJA Inter-Media Independence cricket cup at National cricket ground organized by Rawalpindi-Islamabad Sports Journalists Association (RISJA) with the collaboration of Park View and NasGas.
Farrukh Habib said that the government wants to promote sports in the country and it is a priority to bring out the national talent for the promotion of sports, adding that the Prime Minister is taking steps to promote sports in the country.
He said that Kashmir Premier League has disturbed the Indian sleep as they are afraid of KPL and threatening the foreign players to not to stop the players from participating. Modi wants to dominate cricket with coercive thinking but he will expose.
Earlier Geo TV won their first match against Samaa TV by 28 runs. Batting first Geo scored 106 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 15 overs. Qaiser Butt (18), Khalid Chaudhry (29), Hassam (29) notable scorers. In reply, Samaa TV were bowled out for 78 in the 11th over. Maqsood Ahmed (20) scored from Samaa while Arfa Feroze was declared man of the match with taking five wickets from the winning side.
In another match Dawn TV won by 8 wickets against ARY. Batting first, ARY scored 44 runs for 6 wickets in 10 overs. Rana Tariq scored 10 runs. Tahir Naseer, Sanaullah, Noshad Abbasi took one wicket respectively. In reply Dawn TV chased the target in the eighth over at a loss of two wickets. Noahad Abbasi was declared man of the match who scored 25 runs for the winning side.

ISLAMABAD: The press attaché at the French embassy in Islamabad, Syed Muhammad Aqeel Hussain, has been awarded one of the highest civil French accolades over his 33 years of service at the embassy.
According to a statement, released by the Embassy of France on its Facebook page, Hussain was conferred the award for his dedication. “Congratulations to our Press Attaché for being awarded the award of French National Order of Merit. Thank you for your 33 years of dedication to this embassy. Grateful for your contribution to the promotion of the French language & culture and to the mutual understanding between France & Pakistan,” the statement read.
Hussain is already a recipient of two medals, including a medal of honour from the Ministry Foreign Affairs of France and another medal given for rendering 30 years of meritorious services. Hussain said that he wishes to dedicate the award to his native town of Mianwali.

While the KP Chief Minister is also from Swat, special measures should be taken to promote industrial and commercial activities in the region.He expressed these views during a meeting with Swat Chamber of Commerce and Industry Group Leader Ahmed Khan, Senior Vice President Akbar Khan and Vice President Usman Khan here today.Who had come to meet him at the UBG Central Secretariat in Islamabad.He further said that in order to eradicate unemployment, it was necessary to set up an industrial estate in the area and work on it should be started promptly . He further said that the building of Swat Chamber of Commerce and Industry should be constructed to promote industrial and commercial activities in the area and Chief Minister KP as the first step should alot a plot for the construction of the chamber so that the members of the chamber can start the construction work on it. On the occasion, Swat Chamber Group Leader Ahmed Khan briefed Zafar Bakhtawari about the problems in his area and Zafar Bakhtawari promised him that he would meet Chief Minister KP and discuss all his problems.Group Leader Ahmad Khan said that Swat is rich in minerals and agriculture resources. There are also emerald mines here. This industry needs to be developed on a scientific basisand agrobased industry should also be established .
FBR abuses ‘tax overflow’ Small chambers delegations reach FPCCI with complaints
Islamabad (DNA). FBR excesses, tax evasion, small chambers delegations reached the FPCCI, Capital Office with their grievances. Delegations of Small Chambers presented the problems faced by small traders to FPCCI, Capital Office Chairman, Qurban Ali and Chief Coordinator, Mirza Abdul Rehman and demanded that steps be taken to resolve them. It was also announced that the delegations of Qurban Ali and Mirza Abdul Rehman would meet the Federal Minister for Finance and other concerned ministers and officials for all possible cooperation, FBR and tax evasion.
According to details, Delegations of small businessmen led by the founding president of Sargodha Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industries Sheikh Asif Iqbal, president of Mandi Bahauddin Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industries SM Haider Raza Naqvi and the president Women Entrepreneur Sadia Zafar called on Chairman, FPCCI, Capital Office, Qurban Ali and Chief Coordinator, Mirza Abdul Rehman at the FPCCI Capital Office Islamabad yesterday. The delegation included Mandi Bahauddin Small Chamber Vice President, Mian Zahid Patiala, Sargodha Chamber Vice President Sheikh Sher Dil, EC members Imtiaz Ahmed, Sheikh Bilal Zafar, Muhammad Zeeshan, Sheikh Wasim Raees, Sheikh Sarfraz and other women businessmen d other women businessmen, Vice President, Uzma Sehbaz and Tehseen Fatima were present.
The delegations shared their concerns during the meeting. He said that the procedures for providing loans are so strict that any trader would be reluctant to take a loan on the basis of these conditions.

JASHAN-E-AZADI FANKAR RALLY ORGANIZED AT PUNJAB ARTS COUNCIL
Rawalpindi (DNA) The Independence Day celebrations at the Punjab Arts Council have been started with the Jashan-e-Azadi Fankar Rally here on Monday. Famous artists from Islamabad and Rawalpindi participated in the rally. President urges Islamic countries to work together to change perceptions of world regarding Islamophobia
ISLAMABAD, AUG 2 /DNA/ – President Dr Arif Alvi has urged the Islamic countries to work together to change the perceptions of the world with regard to Islamophobia. He stated that Islamic countries were facing the challenges of terrorism and Islamophobia which could be overcome through close cooperation among them. He made these remarks while talking to the visiting President of the Arab Parliament, Mr Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asoomi, who called on him, at Aiwan-e-Sadr, today. Chairman Senate, Mr Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani was also present during the meeting.
Talking to the President of Arab Parliament, the President informed that the people of Pakistan had a natural affinity with the people of Arab countries, due to our shared bonds of common faith and culture. He said that Pakistan attached great importance to its ties with the Middle Eastern countries and wanted to further strengthen relations with countries of the region in all areas of mutual interest. He added that Pakistan’s policy had shifted from Geo-politics to Geo-economics that focused on regional connectivity; development partnerships and socio-economic uplift, and peace within the region. The President highlighted that Pakistan was making efforts to promote peace in the region, particularly in Afghanistan. He also briefed the visiting dignitary about the measures taken by Pakistan against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The President apprised Mr Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asoomi about the apartheid policies of the Modi-led BJP Government in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), saying that India was involved in the ethnic cleansing of Muslims of IIOJK by changing the demography of Kashmir and reducing the Muslim population through the Citizenship Act. He reiterated Pakistan’s support to the just cause of Palestinians and called for the establishment of a viable, independent and contiguous state of Palestine on the basis of internationally accepted parameters, with pre-1967 borders, and Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
The President of Arab Parliament said that Pakistan was an important country for the Arab world which had played a historical role in supporting the cause of Islamic Ummah. He underlined the need to work closely by the Islamic world to meet the challenges being faced by the Islamic countries. He also emphasized the need for exchanging delegations to further cement ties between Pakistan and the Arab world. He said that the Arab Parliament supported Pakistan’s stance on IIOJK. He also thanked the Government of Pakistan for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him during his stay in Pakistan.

HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION: A CASE STUDY OF INDIA

Human rights violations in India pose a threat not only to the future and the lives of millions of people in India, but also to the world due to the implementation of Hindutva policies by the BJP, the RSS (RashtriyaSwayamsevakSangh) and Indian Prime Minister NarendraModi. Peace is in danger the present regime of India is working on Hindutva under a regular plan. Citizens of every religion except Hindus are in a state of unconscious fear.
The Indian government is discriminating against the Muslim population. The United States has described the situation as “worrying”. Antony Blinken has called on India to follow democratic practices while trying to teach tolerance.
The world has adopted a double standard on human rights violations in India, even the United States does not take a proper stance on Indian aggression. Everyone in India except Hindus is being persecuted and this issue is not over, but new records of persecution and violence are being set in illegally Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir. India is becoming a major terrorist financing country, but no FATF calls it anything. The lives of Kashmiris have been made difficult, efforts are being made to suppress them through oppression of children, rape of women and violence against elders but the world is silent.
There are millions of people in India who belong to religions other than Hinduism. These are the people whose elders believed in the promises of leaders like Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru after partition and decided to stay in India only after partition. On the grounds that India would be a secular state, not a Hindu republic, and that every citizen would be treated with equal care. But the opposite happened when the BJP came to power. And increasing with each passing day.
The Indian judiciary in its judgment handed over the land of Babri Masjid to the Hindus to make Ram Hind a Ram temple in its place. And no one was punished for martyring the mosque. The SanghParivar (Collection of Hindu nationalist organizations) intensified its hate campaign and targeted the Muslim population.
In the 2014, Lok Sabha elections, SanghParivar activists mobilized voters on the basis of Hinduism and spread hatred against minorities. The campaign resulted in the success of the BJP and the appointment of NarendraModi as the Prime Minister of the country. Since, NarendraModi came to power in 2014, the expansionist ambitions and Hindutva thinking have not diminished but intensified. Even critics are called enemies of the country. Just eating beef is being persecuted. Oppressed people living below the poverty line are being blackmailed.
It is pertinent to mention here that, the names of Islamic figures and Muslim-era cities, squares, markets and institutions are being replaced by Hindu names. The historical background is witnessed, How the SanghParivar works to eradicate from the history books of the Muslim era.
The world community has to understand, the first target of the fascist Modi regime is Muslims. It is not that they like people belonging to other religions. It is not like that at all. In fact, they want to eliminate Muslims first. They will target them under the new planning policy. International institutions should have to take notice in this regards. Don’t all these measures count as human rights violations? At the end, let the world remember that India is a very large country in terms of population and not only Muslims live there.
