Govt holds multi-party conference on Palestine issue sans PTI

ISLAMABAD, OCT 7: The federal government is hosting a multi-party conference (MPC) for the “unanimous condemnation” of Israel’s atrocities in the Middle East and to observe a year’s passage since the outbreak of catastrophic violence in the Gaza Strip that has killed over 41,900 Palestinians.

The fighting in Gaza was triggered when Hamas fighters entered southern Israel on October 7, 2023, killing 1,200 people and taking about 250 as hostages, according to Israeli tallies. More than 100 hostages remain held by Hamas.

Israel’s subsequent military assault on Gaza has killed nearly 42,000 Palestinians, according to the territory’s health ministry, and triggered global condemnation, calls for ceasefire and legal proceedings against Israel in the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice.

On Friday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif gave his assurance during a meeting with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Jamaat-i-Islami Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman that the government would host an MPC to condemn the Israeli genocide in the Middle East.

The MPC is being held at the President’s House in Islamabad and is being attended by President Asif Ali Zardari, PM Shehbaz, Senate Chairman Yousuf Raza Gilani, federal cabinet ministers and senior political leaders, including PML-N President Nawaz Sharif, Bilawal, Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Hafiz Naeem, among others.

However, no PTI leaders were in attendance.

President Zardari expressed deep concerns over the growing Israeli adventurism in the region and escalation of tension, calling for the international community’s role to take swift action to restore peace and prevent conflict from spilling over.

The president said that during the last year, the Israeli occupation forces had killed over 41,800 Palestinians, besides destroying infrastructure.

He pointed out that Israel had even expanded its relentless attacks to target Lebanon, Syria and Yemen and endangered regional and global peace and security.

He said that regrettably, the international community had failed to stop Israel from committing genocide against the Palestinian population, specifically in Gaza, and also questioned the prevailing situation of impunity.

President Zardari said that it was crucial for the international community to take swift action to de-escalate the tension and prevent further loss of lives and conflict from spilling over to other parts of the region.

He also emphasised the UN Security Council (UNSC) to fulfil its responsibility of establishing peace and security in Palestine and Lebanon and reiterated Pakistan’s decades-old stance for a two-state solution by establishing an independent Palestine state on the basis of pre-1967 borders, with Jerusalem as its capital.

President Zardari stressed that peace in the Middle East could not be achieved without resolving the Palestine issue in accordance with the UNSC resolutions.

Calling for a total withdrawal of Israeli forces from Palestine, he also asked the UNSC to restrain Israel from violating international laws to restore peace in the Middle East.

The president reiterated Pakistan’s position of total withdrawal of Israeli forces from occupied Arab territories, including Jerusalem and restoring the inalienable right of Palestinian people to self-determination.

Nawaz says UN ‘completely helpless’
Speaking after the president, Nawaz termed the brutal attacks on Palestinians as one of the “worst examples in history” and said everyone was aggrieved by the bloodied pictures on social media coming out of Gaza of children.

He criticised the global community’s silence on the matter, saying that many still did not consider it a human rights issue but framed it as a religious conflict.

“It seems the UN is completely helpless. There is no implementation of its passed resolutions.”

He said Israel was carrying out its actions with stubbornness. uncaring of UN resolutions. “The UN also does not seem to care that it is a very big global body and yet it can’t get its resolution implemented, similar to Kashmir,” Nawaz added.

The PML-N president questioned what was the need for a UN which could not provide justice to the world or stop injustice. He said the sacrifices and spilt blood of Palestinians would bring fruit someday.

Nawaz said Islamic countries should take decisive measures for the issue. “Islamic countries have very big power and if it is not used today then when?”

He said world powers should also think how much longer they would continue to test the patience of the Islamic world and Palestinians with their continued support for Israel.

Nawaz said the government had to fulfil the aspirations of the Pakistani nation regarding the issue of Palestine, adding that adopting silence on the matter would be a “great failure”.

No political, religious basis for Israel’s existence: Fazl
Fazl said the root of the conflict lay in the 1917 Balfour Declaration, which ordered the creation of a Jewish homeland within the territory of Palestine.

“Since the Balfour Declaration of 1917, Jews began settling in Palestine,” Fazl said.

“We need to understand Pakistan’s position on the matter,” he added.

“In 1940, the Muslim League put forth a resolution that criticised the establishment of Jewish settlements. When Israel was founded, Jinnah termed it an illegitimate child.

“The leader of Israel at the time stated that Israel’s foreign policy is based on erasing a legitimate Islamic state,” Fazl added. “We must look at both perspectives and then ask why there are some people who are lobbying for the recognition of Israel.”

He mentioned that until October 7 last year, people were “coming on television pushing the recognition of Israel”.

When Hamas fighters attacked Israel, “all of these conversations stopped”, Fazl noted.

The JUI-F chief said he did not support a two-state solution in the region, in contrast to Pakistan’s official stance. “Our party does not support a two-state solution,” Fazl maintained. “It is an Arab land and all Jews should be expelled. There is no political or religious basis for Israel to exist.”

Referring to the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), Fazl maintained that all political parties should display unity, despite their differences, for the sake of the country on the global stage. “We are seated here in solidarity with Palestine, but we remain divided on politics and elections here,” he said. “If the SCO is being hosted here, we need to display unity to gain the trust of the world.”

The JUI-F chief slammed the Muslim world for not doing enough for Palestine, stating that if there was pain among Muslims anywhere, it was felt everywhere. “Are our hearts aching because of their pain?” Fazl asked. “We have done nothing for them despite their state, they are begging for our help.

“South Africa has done better than us … they stand up for Palestine and have not faltered, despite enticement,” Fazl lamented, referring to the genocide case against Israel in the International Court of Justice.

“Politically, these examples give us food for thought, about which perspective we need to adopt. Maybe resolutions are not enough for our Palestinian brethren.

“We need to take more concrete steps for our brothers,” he said. “We are recognised, as is Hamas. We must take steps regardless of repercussions.”

Two-state solution provides legitimacy to Israel: Hafiz Naeem
Recounting Israel’s actions and atrocities against the various denizens of the Gaza Strip, Hafiz Naeem termed its activities the “worst action against humanity”, adding that they amounted to “genocide and nothing else”.

He said the gathered political parties should stay insistent on that Israel was committing a genocide, adding that this was proven on international fronts as well.

“I think we need to send a very clear message from this platform: of one free Palestinian state. When we talk about 1967 [borders] or the two-state solution, then it means we are stepping back from our principled position that we consider Israel to be an occupying group and don’t consider it a state.”

Lashing out at Israel’s actions, the JI emir said: “Today the bodies of Palestinian children are burning, tomorrow even our children won’t be safe. Don’t expect anything from these people, they are terrorists.”

He also criticised the United States for its steadfast support of Israel and its own previous military adventurism in Iraq and Afghanistan. “It says that Hamas is a terrorist? Hamas is a legitimate force and Pakistan should at least clearly adopt this stance. It is my demand that there should be an office of Hamas in Pakistan,” Hafiz Naeem added.

He further said that Hamas was a “legitimate democratic force” that was not given rights or its due authority.

Hafiz Naeem reiterated that talking about the two-state solution amounted to providing legitimacy to Israel which was “unacceptable”. “I want to clearly say that our point of view is that we should only talk about a free Palestinian state and not fall into any other controversy,” he reiterated.

The JI emir also said that the military leaders of the Islamic countries should also be invited for strategic talks.

He termed the May 9 incidents drama and a cock and bull story. He said 9 May was engineered to wipe out PTI. He said the way the PTI Chairman Imran Khan was arrested, was in fact a bait and in order to provocate PTI workers.

Ali Amin Gandapur thanked the people of Pakistan for siding with Imran Khan. He said that efforts are being made to wipe PTI out of the political scene but even then, people voted for the PTI overwhelmingly.

He said our party is not allowed to even hold public gatherings. He said during the PTI government JUI F and PPP were allowed to march towards Islamabad and even stage a sit-in.

Fact Sheet on the Spread of Tensions in the West Asia

Fact Sheet on the Spread of Tensions in the West Asia

By: Dr. Asghar Masoudi

After 76 years of occupation and other crimes by the Zionist regime, Hamas and other Palestinian Resistance groups in Gaza launched the Al-Aqsa Storm Operation on October 7th, 2023 to terminate occupation and crimes against humanity.

This decision was made by the leaders of the resistance front and the people of Palestine and Gaza. However, based on the principled policies, Iran supported the Palestinian nation and resistance groups to help terminate the occupation.

The Zionist regime, enjoying the full support of the US and some Western countries, amid silence and inaction of the international community, has committed an unprecedented genocide in Palestine and massacred more than 42 thousand innocent people, including children and women.

The regime destroyed all the infrastructures of Gaza, the West Bank of the Jordan River and recently Lebanon by attacking hospitals, schools, ambulances and journalists violating all recognized international rules and regulations and humanitarian rights.

The world is witnessing genocide, infanticide, crimes against humanity, violation of human rights, breach of sovereignty and territorial integrity, use of weapons of mass destruction, recourse to cyber and technological terrorism, assassination, violation of diplomatic rights and invasion of diplomatic places, destruction of the cultural sites and the common heritages of humanity. Still American and Western officials nod to these crimes as the implementation of justice by the regime.

On the day of the Oath-taking ceremony of the President-elect of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Zionist regime assassinated the former Prime Minister of Palestine and Hemas leader, Ismail Haniyeh, in violation of all international regulations and in egregious violation of Iranian sovereignty. According to international law, Iran has the right to resort to countermeasures as an inherent, legal and enforceable right.

However, due to the on-going negotiations for a ceasefire and in response to the requests of many countries and in order to reduce part of the suffering of the defenceless people of Gaza, the Islamic Republic of Iran restrained to exercise its right to self-defence until the end of the negotiations.

Meanwhile, it was proved that these requests were a conspiracy to gain more time and to complete the operational plan of the regime in Gaza and to get prepared for the invasion of the West Bank and Lebanon.

After Gaza, the Zionist regime extended its aggression to Lebanon, and on September 27, 2024, in an inhumane act, the regime attacked Lebanon with 85 one-ton American bunker buster bombs leading to the martyrdom of Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Lebanon’s Hezbollah. In this terrorist operation, in addition to Hezbollah members and civilians, General Abbas Nilforoushan, Iranian senior military adviser in Beirut, were also martyred.

Within the framework of the international rules and regulations, the provisions of the Article 51 of the UN Charter and after two months of restraint, in response to the aggressive actions of the Zionist regime, including the violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iran in the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, massacre of the Palestinian and Lebanese people and wounding Iranian ambassador in Lebanon during the Pagers explosion, the defensive missile operation of the Islamic Republic of Iran was launched on Tuesday, October 10th, 2024.

Unlike the Zionist regime, targeting the civilians and civil infrastructures, according to the principles of morality and Islamic principles and in full compliance with the principle of distinction in international humanitarian law, Iran targeted military and security bases that are responsible for the genocide in Gaza and Lebanon. Based on the objectives of the operation, more than 90% of the designated targets were successfully hit.

The Islamic Republic of Iran never intends to invade another country and seeks for the regional and global peace and stability, still remains serious in implementing the inherent right of legitimate defence against any aggression.

Iran’s operation is now ended, unless the Israeli regime continues its aggression in violation of Iran’s sovereignty or any other dangerous adventurism. In this case, Iran’s response will prove even stronger.

The Islamic Republic of Iran will give a decisive and strong response to any breach of its territory and interests by any aggressor and from any point.

Instead of rhetoric, the US and western supporters of the Zionist regime should stop weaponizing and financially supporting the Israeli regime to prove their claim in preventing a large-scale regional war.

The Zionist regime considers the only way out of the current state of affairs in an all-out regional and international war with the participation of the US. Therefore, the supporters of the regime, especially the US, are now more responsible for preventing a war.

The international community, especially the Islamic countries, while expressly condemning the illegal acts of the Zionist regime, need to fulfil their much delayed duties to end the aggression and genocide by the Israeli regime.

PTI demands ‘missing’ KP CM Gandapur be produced within 24 hours: Qaiser

PTI demands ‘missing’ KP CM Gandapur be produced within 24 hours: Qaiser

ISLAMABAD, OCT 6: PTI leader Asad Qaiser on Sunday accused the government of “abducting” Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur from KP House in Islamabad, warning that if he is not produced within 24 hours, his party will stage a nationwide protest.

His statement came ahead of the emergency Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly session, initially rescheduled for 2pm today, but delayed due to Gandapur’s uncertain whereabouts.

The session finally started after a delay of five hours, with KP Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati in the chair.

“If the KP chief minister is not produced within 24 hours, the PTI will stage a nationwide protest,” Qaiser warned while speaking to reporters outside the KP Assembly.

“We categorically say that this is not an attack on Gandapur, but on the whole country. If it has happened to the PTI, it will happen to you, too as not even the chief executive of a province is safe.”

Qaiser said that according to the information received by his party, Gandapur had been “abducted from KP House”, as evidenced by the destruction inside the building.

He claimed that over 1,000 PTI workers had so far been arrested.

“We do not want anarchy, we want to peacefully protest and exercise our rights,” Qaiser maintained. “The PTI would continue to protest until its last breath and with no limits as protesting was a constitutional and legal right”.

A large number of protesters reached Islamabad yesterday as PTI held a demonstration in response to their incarcerated founder, Imran Khan’s, call for a “peaceful protest”.

Different groups of protestors, including the caravan of CM Gandapur entered the capital from Taxila near Nicholson Monument after breaching the police cordon.

The CM then left the party workers in Islamabad and moved to the KP House from where he “disappeared,” sparking rumours about his arrest.

PTI leaders issued conflicting statements regarding the news of the alleged arrest, while some maintained he was “detained”, KP government spokesperson Barrister Muhammad Saif stated on X that the CM had not been “formally arrested”. He, however, added that a “heavy contingent of Rangers and police are present at the KP House.”

KP Assembly session
According to a notification, a copy of which is available with Dawn.com, issued by the provincial government, KP Assembly Speaker Swati “called the sitting of Assembly on Sunday at 2pm which was earlier adjourned.”

The agenda for the session said that the assembly was convened to discuss the serious damage caused by the Islamabad police, Rangers and government officials as they went inside the KP CM’s residence in the capital.

According to the agenda, the ongoing session is set to discuss the “indiscriminate use of rubber bullets and shells, mistreatment of women and families”, including the damage caused to government property.

“The session will also discuss the disappearance of KP CM”, it said.

Meanwhile, around 300 PTI supporters reached the KP Assembly and started sloganeering and demanding Gandapur’s “release.” Some of them protested outside the building, while others chanted slogans from the public gallery.

On the other hand, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi refuted rumours about Gandapur’s alleged arrest, stating that he was neither in police nor any other institution’s custody. He also said that the government had “evidence of the PTI leader running from his residence.”

“I don’t know why he ran and for what reason,” the interior minister said today while speaking to the media in Islamabad.

KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said that the CM was nowhere to be found and even the PTI workers were looking for their leader.

“A drama is being created in the provincial assembly,” Kundi said while speaking in Islamabad, adding that given there are cameras everywhere, there must be some video evidence of the CM’s alleged “abduction”.

“Since yesterday, he has gone into self-hiding. He is enjoying it,” he said.

PTI’s political committee, while criticising the “disappearance” of the chief minister, warned that there would be “serious repercussions” if Gandapur was arrested.

The KP CM, according to Barrister Saif, is on bail until October 25.

“If arrested, it will be an insult to the mandate of the people of KP, the fake government will have to answer for such unconstitutional and illegal actions,” Saif continued in his X post.

Despite Barrister Saif’s statement that Gandapur had not been “formally” detained, PTI’s leader of the opposition in the National Assembly, Omar Ayub Khan, persisted in his claim that Gandapur had been “arrested” from KP House.

PTI to continue protests
PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Khan earlier informed the media that the protest was initially planned for one day, but due to the crackdown on demonstrators, the PTI had decided to extend its protest.

Former National Assembly speaker and senior PTI leader Asad Qaiser also told Dawn that PTI’s political committee had decided to continue the protest until they received a clear directive from Imran Khan to end it.

Over the last weekend, an amount of Rs54 million along with a force of 6,000 personnel, comprising police, Rangers and FC, was used to counter the PTI’s protest and stop them from entering the capital and reaching the D-Chowk on Jinnah Avenue, police officers told Dawn.

On Saturday, PML-N expressed frustration over the state’s failure to classify PTI as a “terrorist organisation” in the face of its “unending protests”, urging swift action before it becomes too late.

Meanwhile, the Islamabad High Court has ordered the government to restore normalcy in the city and designate a location for PTI to hold its protest.

KP CM Gandapur not in any institution’s custody, says security czar

KP CM Gandapur not in any institution’s custody, says security czar

ISLAMABAD: After Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders claimed about losing contact with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur following a raid at the KP House, the federal government on Sunday cleared the air on the matter saying that Gandapur was not in the custody of any federal institution.

Gandapur had gone into self-imposed hiding since yesterday, said the federal government, as the provincial executive remains incommunicado since last night.

The abrupt “disappearance” of firebrand politician and chief executive of KP has raised many questions, besides fuelling speculations of his arrest, as the PTI continues its protest in Islamabad.

Play Video
Addressing media in Islamabad during a presser, flanked by KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi admitted that the law enforcement agencies did carry out a couple of raids at the KP House in Islamabad, suspecting that the chief minister might be there but he was not present at the location.

“We do not have the knowledge if he has reached KP or not. However, a camera footage of him fleeing the KP House is available,” he said, dismissing the reports of the KP chief minister being in police custody.

The interior minister said Gandapur was not in custody of any other institution as well. He reiterated that the PTI leader himself fled somewhere.

However, he said, if he was present in Islamabad then the federal capital police was after him. “He is sought by police,” he added.

Meanwhile, the governor said Gandapur had gone into self-imposed hiding since Saturday.

“Ali Amin is playing on both sides of the wicket,” he said, adding that an emergency session of the KP Assembly had been convened over the matter of Gandapur’s hiding.

Apparently, pointing towards alleged participation of Afghan nationals in the political party’s protest, Kundi said it was the most frightening thing that terrorists were brought in by the PTI for the protest.

Meanwhile, the KP government on Sunday approached the Peshawar High Court (PHC) against the disappearance of CM Gandapur.

KP Advocate General Shah Faisal said that a writ petition had been prepared in this regard and the court would be requested to take it up today.

On the other hand, talking to Geo News, the CM’s brother Faisal Amin Gandapur said he could not establish contact with his brother since last night.

Earlier, KP CM’s Adviser on Information Barrister Saif said that Gandapur had been “incommunicado” since Saturday night.

Speaking to Geo News, the official confirmed that the whereabouts of the KP CM were unknown and his family could not reach him.

He held the centre responsible for his going missing.

PTI protests
Law and order situation of Islamabad remains precarious as the Imran Khan-founded party tried to stage a protest at D-Chowk amid the imposition of Section 144 (which bars political activities and gatherings) in the twin cities to ensure security, ahead of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation’s meeting.

The opposition party initiated a series of protests for the independence of judiciary and the release of its founder Imran, who has been incarcerated at Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail for more than a year.

Clashes also broke out between the law enforcers and party workers, with both sides claiming that the other had attacked them.

Police fired tear gas at the protesters on Saturday in the capital as well as the convoys tried to enter Islamabad, while the workers used slingshots to hit the law enforcers.

The PTI started protests in Lahore as well, badly affecting the routine life due to blockade of roads, police-protesters’ clashes, and suspension of metro services.

Citing the tense situation, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) ordered the local authorities on Saturday to allocate a designated place to the PTI for organising its demonstration and to stop any unlawful protest in the federal capital that create situation of lockdown or disrupt peace during the period of SCO summit.

The directives were issued by IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq through a three-page order after hearing the petition filed by Traders Welfare Association President Raja Hassan Akhtar, who sought the court’s order to stop the ongoing protest in Islamabad.

Upon a critically wounded police official’s losing battle for life today, Interior Minister Naqvi said no one involved in his murder would be spared.

On behalf of the government, he also announced to hire one of his two sons in police force and give a housing plot as compensation.

Islamabad police’s Constable Hameed Shah, who was wounded during PTI protest in the federal capital last night, succumbed to his wounds during the course of treatment.

The cop was reportedly subjected to violence after being “kidnapped”.

Pakistan’ economy shows signs of recovery, says Rana Ihsan Afzal

Pakistan' economy shows signs of recovery, says Rana Ihsan Afzal

ISLAMABAD, OCT 06 (DNA) — Coordinator to the Prime Minister Rana Ihsan Afzal Khan Sunday expressed optimism about Pakistan’s economic recovery, highlighting the government’s initiatives that have boosted investor confidence, exporter confidence, and attracted foreign investment, paving the way for sustainable economic growth.

Pakistan’s economic recovery is gaining momentum, driven by strategic reforms and investments, he said in an exclusive talk with medial news. Pakistan’s economy is showing promising signs of recovery, thanks to the government’s strategic efforts, he said. He painted a positive picture of Pakistan’s economic outlook and expressed confidence in the government’s reform agenda, citing notable progress in tax stabilization, privatization and exporter’ support.

Pakistan is poised for significant economic growth, with a focus on resolving long-standing issues faced by manufacturers and exporters, he said, adding, the government is actively addressing refund issues and implementing strategies to boost exports.  In fact, Pakistan has planned to raise its exports to $50 billion in five years, with an ambitious long-term target of $100 billion, he added.

Rana Ihsan Afzal Khan emphasized that eliminating the non-filer category will have a positive impact on exporters, boosting Pakistan’s economic growth. Coordinator to the Prime Minister also highlighted a significant shift in Pakistan’s economy, adding, previously, investments were largely concentrated in the property sector, which did not contribute significantly to the country’s economic growth.

He mentioned that maintaining an exchange rate aligned with market rates is our priority to benefit exporters. PTI vs Federal Government: time to settle issues

Global Misperceptions

Shamim Shahid

At the moment there is a complete deadlock between federal and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government after ‘arrest’ of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandhapur and takeover of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa house Islamabad by armed forces. Islamabad police has confirmed registration of FIR against leading PTI leaders. However, names of nominees nominated in FIR yet to be made public.

The situation is turning worse after the expiry of an injured policeman who succumbed in Islamabad hospital and summoning of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly for discussing the situation erupted with arrest of Chief Minister and several others.

Though the PTI leaders are accusing the federal government for the arrest of deposed Prime Minister Imran Khan and other top PTI leaders. But the matter in fact rests between the PTI and the powerful military establishment. At the moment, the effective and powerful military establishment is not willing either to forgive deposed Prime Minister Imran Khan or to make him free. But in a bid to get the release of Imran Khan and his spouse, the PTI leadership is building pressure and criticism against the PML(N) lead federal government.

According to an FIR registered by Islamabad police around 105 top persons including PTI leaders have been arrested, over 40 vehicles including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government-controlled RESCUE 1122 vehicles and ambulances were also impounded by Islamabad and Punjab Police. The top Executive officer Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (nominated and posted by Federal government) has also directed Secretary Relief for submitting detailed reports of RESCUE resources (vehicles and personnel) used in PTI agitations/protests against the federal government.

Some of top PTI leaders are publically reaffirming support and loyalty to Imran Khan and Ali Amin Gandhapur but the internal situation is different whereas some of them have stock of reservation over the confrontation-focused policies against military establishment and federal government. Just for filling the blanks or signing enrolment, provincial ministers, MP’s and other office holders are witnessed in selfies but later they disappear during firing of tear gas shells and lathi charges.

Despite Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor’s frequent appeals for intervention, the federal government is playing the role of silent spectator. This mysterious role on the part of the federal government is also generating stock of questions and confusions. No one can deny the fact that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandhapur is helpless before Imran Khan and reluctant to settle the issues through table talks with the federal government but it is also a fact that unlike of past, the federal government had failed in playing its due role in settling the issues or ensuring smooth working relations with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Politico-turmoil in Pakistan, especially allowing fueling an anarchy like situation in Khyber at the time when war clouds from the Middle East are hitting the rest of Asian Regions, relations between Kabul and Islamabad are deteriorating day by day. Almost all powers and authorities have been monopolized by the powerful military establishment and no one amongst the political squad is capable of playing the role as mediator for reconciliation on all internal and external fronts. Almost all people from all over the country are uncertain and disappointed. Worries of common men are intensifying with each passing day, which is harmful for the very future of the country and its people.
