Major General Abid Latif appointed at ISI HQ

ISLAMABAD:  (DNA) – IGFC Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Major General Abid Latif has been transferred to ISI headquarters as DG Counter-Intelligence, sources said on Wednesday.General Abid Latif has been appointed in place of General Faiz Hameed Chaudhry, who was promoted as Lieutenant General from Major General recently. DG Rangers Sindh Major General Muhammad Saeed has been appointed DG Analysis in the ISI and Major General Kamran Khursheed has been appointed DG B.

Japan extends financial support for child health care, security improvement

ISLAMABAD, APR 24 (DNA) – The Government of Japan has extended financial support of approximately 32 million USD to “The Project for the Extension of Intensive Care at Maternal and Child Health Care Centre and Children’s Hospital in Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS)” and approximately 17 million USD to “The Economic and Social Development Programme” for improvement of cargo inspection capacity for better security.
