ISLAMABAD (DNA) – Guidelines for the Implementation of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC 1267) sanctions were launched today (Friday) at Ministry of Foreign Affairs The guidelines have been prepared by the National Committee for overseeing implementation of Sanctions against individuals and entities designated by the UN Security Council 1267 Al Qaida /Da’esh Sanctions regime and Security Council 1988 (Taliban Sanctions regime). A large number of representatives of the federal and provincial governments including those of financial institutions, law enforcement, and other implementing agencies attended the event.
Nawaz reaches Sharif Medical City for check-up
LAHORE (DNA) – Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Friday reached Sharif Medical City to be examined by neurologists.The detailed check-up of the erstwhile premier will be done in the presence of his personal physician – Dr Adnan. The neurologists will conduct different tests to normalize the circulation of blood in his brain.It has been told that Nawaz Sharif’s health is in sensitive condition and he remains under observation of doctors at home despite not being admitted to the hospital.
Hamza Shahbaz appears before NAB in assets beyond income case
LAHORE (DNA) – Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz on Friday has appeared before National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in assets beyond income case. According to details, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader was directed to bring along complete record regarding his foreign account.The staff members of Hamza was barred from entering the office. On Wednesday, the Lahore High Court (LHC) had granted pre-arrest bail to Hamza Shahbaz till April 17 after he filed two separate petitions amid fear that the NAB may arrest him in the Saaf Pani and Ramzan Sugar Mills cases.
IMF delegation will visit Pakistan to finalize program: Asad Umar

Model Town case: Ahmad Awais resigns as Punjab Attorney General, tells CM Buzdar
LAHORE (DNA) – Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Usman Buzdar on Thursday has appeared before Lahore High Court (LHC) for the hearing of a notice issued to Advocate General of Punjab Ahmad Awais for contempt of court regarding formation of new Joint Investigation Team (JIT) in Model Town carnage case.
During the proceedings, the CM told that Ahmad Awais has resigned as Punjab Attorney General over which Justice Qasim Khan said that AG is province’s higher official.
Pakistan hands over further questions on Pulwama incident to India: FO
ISLAMABAD (DNA) – Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal on Thursday said that Pakistan has asked India to provide actable intelligence over Pulwama incident.Addressing weekly news briefing in Islamabad on Thursday, he said that Pakistan handed over a further set of questions regarding the Pulwama incident to Indian High Commission, adding that Pakistan will respond to any Indian aggression.“We await the Indian response to questions shared with them,” he said and added India has so far not provided any actionable intelligence that could lead to Pakistan s involvement in the Pulwama incident.
IHC reunites reverted sisters with their husbands
ISLAMABAD (DNA) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday permitted two reverted sisters Aasia and Nadia to reunite with their husbands, and directed secretary of the interior ministry to ensure safety for them.A high court bench led by IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah made the decision in light of a five-member commission report in the alleged abduction, forced conversion and marriage of the girls.On April 2, the IHC had formed a five-member commission to probe whether the girls were forcibly converted and if they were underage at the time of their marriage.The bench ordered the inquiry commission to present its report and final recommendations by May 14 and adjourned the hearing of the case.
Qureshi refutes rumours about Israeli pilot in Pakistan’s custody
ISLAMABAD (DNA) – Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said on Thursday that India has been preparing for another military action against Pakistan.“Pakistan has reliable intelligence that India is devising a new plan. Even America has endorsed Pakistan’s viewpoint over Indian claims of downing a F-16 fighter jet,” he said.During a meeting of Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, headed by Senator Mushahid Hussain, Qureshi affirmed that Pakistan needs to stay on high alert till May 23.
