Uzbek Deputy PM to arrive Pakistan on May 27

ISLAMABAD, MAY 26 (DNA) – The Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Elyor Ganiev, will be visiting Islamabad on 27-28 May 2019.The Deputy Prime Minister will be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising the Deputy Ministers for Investment & Foreign Trade and Transport and other senior officials.The Deputy Prime Minister will hold consultations with the Foreign Minister and also meet with several Federal Ministers/Advisers — including Railways; Planning, Development & Reforms; National Food Security & Research; Health; Commerce; and BOI.

Pakistani peacekeeper honored with UN medal posthumously

NEWYORK, MAY 25 (DNA) – United Nations Secretary General, António Guterres has awarded the Dag Hammarskjold medal posthumously to a Pakistani soldier Naik Muhammad Naeem Raza who embraced martyrdom on 27 January last year while serving in the UN mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.The posthumous award was received by Pakistan s Ambassador to the UN, Maleeha Lodhi, during a solemn ceremony held at UN Headquarters in New York to commemorate the International Day of Peacekeepers.

Chinese Vice President to arrive in Islamabad on Sunday

BEIJING (DNA) – Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan  will arrive in Islamabad on Sunday on a two-day official visit to Pakistan.The Chinese vice president would be visiting Pakistan from May 26 to 28 at the invitation of Prime Minister Imran Khan.Wang Qishan will meet President Arif Alvi and hold talks with Prime Minister Imran Khan and exchange views on deepening bilateral relations and international and regional issues of mutual interests.Pakistan and China will sign MoUs and agreements and inaugurate projects to enhance bilateral cooperation in a broad range of areas.
