MAKASSAR, AUG 07 (DNA) – The Indonesian Embassy in Islamabad, in collaboration with Hasanuddin University (UNHAS), conducted a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) in Makassar, South Sulawesi Province, exploring the possibilities to further improve the bilateral relation between Indonesia and Pakistan .In the FGD, the Indonesian Ambassador to Pakistan, Iwan Suyudhie Amri, explained the latest developments of Pakistan, including its relations with neighboring countries as well as the dynamics -opportunities and challenges- of bilateral relations between Indonesia and Pakistan.
PM Imran, Saudi Prince discuss Indian move regarding occupied Kashmir
ISLAMABAD (DNA) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Wednesday telephoned Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman and discussed latest developments in occupied Kashmir.According to details, both the leaders discussed the development of the situation in the region and efforts exerted towards it.The conversation was made following Indian government’s move of ending occupied Kashmir’s special status by repealing Articles 370 and 35A.The announcement was made by Indian Home Minister Amit Shah during his address in Rajya Sabha, upper house of Indian parliament.
Group of Hong Kong activists say they will not back down on demands
HONG KONG, AUG 06 (DNA) — A group of activists dressed in the Hong Kong protest uniform of masks and hard hats held a widely televised news conference Tuesday (Aug 6) and urged the city’s leader Carrie Lam to “return power to the people”.The three activists, who declined to give their real names, held the news conference in the Mong Kok neighbourhood of Hong Kong. Representatives of the protest movement have not held any news conferences since the demonstrations began two months ago.”We call on the government to return the power back to the people and to address the demands of Hong Kong citizens,” one activist said during the news conference shown on several TV channels in Hong Kong.
Bollywood stars denounce Indian decision of ending IOK’s special status

Pakistan Army firmly stand by Kashmir people: Army Chief
RAWALPINDI, AUG 06 (DNA) – Corps Commanders’ Conference presided by General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) held at General Head Quarters (GHQ) today on single point agenda of situation regarding Kashmir.Forum fully supported Government’s rejection of Indian actions regarding Kashmir. Pakistan never recognised the sham Indian efforts to legalise its occupation of Jammu & Kashmir through article 370 or 35-A decades ago; efforts which have now been revoked by India itself.“Pakistan Army firmly stands by the Kashmiris in their just struggle to the very end. We are prepared and shall go to any extent to fulfill our obligations in this regard”, COAS affirmed.
Sri Lankan MPs visit PIPS
ISLAMABAD (DNA) -Deputy Speaker of Sri Lanka parliament was accorded a rousing welcome when he Visited ” Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary Services” by the Director General (PIPS) and the Management in Islamabad .He was accompanied by Mohan de silva MP, Neil Iddawela, Chief of Staff and Deputy Secretary General of parliament and the High Commissioner for Srilanka in Pakistan.It was agreed at the discussion to obtain the services of PIPS to improve the quality of Parliamentary Services in Sri Lanka.=DNA

Joint session of Parliament witnesses unruly scenes
ISLAMABAD (DNA). The joint sitting of Parliament convened to discuss Indian move to change status of Occupied Kashmir saw unruly scenes when the Opposition parties objected to the contents of the resolution presented Azam Swati. The resolution did not contain mention of Article 370.The opposition also demanded that prime minister Imran Khan should also come to the parliament. After this the Speaker adjourned the session for 20 minutes.=DNA
OIC to hold emergency meeting on Kashmir dispute in Jeddah today
JEDDAH (DNA) – An emergency meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir has been called today (Tuesday) in Jeddah – as the Indian government yesterday rushed through a presidential decree to abolish Articles 370 and 35A of its constitution to scrap special status granted to Indian-occupied Kashmir (IOK).According to Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal, the meeting would discuss the recent illegal developments by India in IOK.Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi will lead Pakistani delegation, and representatives from Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Turkey and other member countries will also attend the meeting.
Chairman PPP condemns Indian act of revoking special status to Kashmir
