Pak community of France observed Defence day in solidarity with Kashmiris

PARIS, SEPT 06 (DNA) –  A large number of members of Pakistani and Kashmiri community of France and members of the Embassy of Pakistan to France observed Defense and Martyrs Day in solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) in a simple and dignified ceremony held in Paris today.While speaking on the occasion, the Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. Moin ul Haque paid tribute to the valiant armed forces of Pakistan who have guard our frontiers and never hesitate to give the supreme sacrifice of their lives in defence of their motherland.

Pak-China-Afghanistan trilateral dialogues on Saturday

ISLAMABAD (DNA) – Trilateral dialogues between Pakistan, China and Afghanistan will be held in Federal capital on Saturday.According to a statement issued by the foreign office, Pakistani delegation would be led by Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Chinese delegation would be led by Wang Xi.Sources added that national security advisor Hamdullah will attend the meeting on his behalf.Political relations, peace process and security cooperation will be the agenda of the dialogues, while terrorism and development cooperation will also the agenda of the talks.

Envoy: Pakistan supports Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity, inviolability of borders

BAKU, SEPT 06 (DNA) – Pakistan supports the principle of territorial integrity and inviolability of the Azerbaijani borders and is interested in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the Pakistani Ambassador to Azerbaijan Saeed Khan Mohmand told reporters.The ambassador noted that Azerbaijan and Pakistan are close strategic partners in the military sphere.”Strategic cooperation between our countries is at a high level, we fully support Azerbaijan’s position on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and advocate the speedy settlement of the long-term conflict based on the requirements of relevant UN Security Council resolutions,” the Pakistani envoy said.

North Korea celebrates founding day

Woody Allen film given big stage at Deauville festival

DEAUVILLE (DNA) – Woody Allen’s new romantic comedy “A Rainy Day in New York” will open the American Film Festival in the French resort of Deauville on Friday, giving the film, whose release was cancelled in the US, a major European stage.Amazon, which had agreed to distribute the film in the United States, dropped it over allegations that the Oscar-winning director abused his daughter.But Bruno Barde, director of the Deauville festival, which was launched in 1975 as a celebration of American cinema, has praised the feature as a “very energetic, very funny film”.
