PM Khan forms 7-member team to design response to India

ISLAMABAD, AUG 07 (DNA) – Prime Minister Imran Khan informed of his decision to constitute a seven-member committee to deliberate Pakistan’s diplomatic, legal and political response to the India’s illegal decision of scraping away the special constitutional rights of Indian-occupied Jammu & Kashmir.A notification issued in this regard states, “The Prime Minister has been pleased to constitute, with immediate effect, a seven (07) member team who shall make recommendations to formulate the legal/political/diplomatic response on the latest developments related to Indian occupied Kashmir.”

Mushahid Hussain terms August 5 as darkest day in history of Kashmir

ISLAMABAD, August 07 (DNA): Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed on Wednesday  termed the move to end the special status of occupied Kashmir as the  darkest day in the history of region since 1971.Addressing a joint session of Parliament, Senator Mushahid Hussain  expressed that August 5, when India ended the special status of Kashmir  and deployed thousands of its troops in the valley, is the darkest day  in the history of the region as the geography of the region was changed  forcefully.Mushahid Hussain said the government should learn from its mistakes. “No  country has supported Pakistan except China”, he added. He suggested  that diplomatic emergency should be implemented for the next 100 days.

NAB summons Maryam Nawaz Thursday in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case

LAHORE, August 07 (DNA): The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned Vice President of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Thursday (tomorrow), in relation to a corruption probe involving Chaudhry Sugar Mills. In this regard, reliable sources said a questionnaire has also been sent to the PML-N leader seeking details in the case. The Bureau has inquired about how and where the shares were divided since the inception of the mill in 1985. The PML-N leader has also been directed to provide details of contacts with four foreigners in relation to money matters of the Mills.

Zardari proud of Kashmiris, their valor, courage in face of oppression

the Kashmiri’s in their righteous struggle for freedom. The former president expressing his views on the annexation of Kashmir by tyrannical India opined that he felt immense pride when Kashmiri’s buried their loved ones in Pakistani flags, those who sacrificed their lives for the just struggle for freedom of Kashmir from the clutches of India.

Pakistan parliament adopts unanimous resolution condemning Indian act

ISLAMABAD (DNA) -Pakistan parliament adopts unanimous resolution condemning Indian act of changing status of occupied Kashmir.Fakhar Imam Chairman Kashmir committee presented the resolution in the house.The resolution condemned Indian act and termed it blatant violation of international law.The resolution added, the Indian act seeks to put the regional peace in jeorpardy.Parliament also demanded immediate release of Kashmiri leadership calling upon the international community to take note of Indian brutalities.

Indian HC Ajay Bisaria asked to leave Pakistan

Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired the meeting.The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister, Defence Minister, Interior Minister, Minister for Education, Minister for Human Rights, Minister for KA&GB, Law Minister, Adviser Finance, CJCSC, COAS, CAS, V-CNS, SAPM on Information, DG-ISI, DG-ISPR, Secretary Foreign Affairs and other senior officers.

Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired the meeting.The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister, Defence Minister, Interior Minister, Minister for Education, Minister for Human Rights, Minister for KA&GB, Law Minister, Adviser Finance, CJCSC, COAS, CAS, V-CNS, SAPM on Information, DG-ISI, DG-ISPR, Secretary Foreign Affairs and other senior officers.

New Delhi already had informed U.S of decision to abolish Kashmir’s special status back in February

NEW DELHI, AUG 07 (DNA) – Reports emanating from Indian media revealed that before scraping away the special constitutional status of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK), the External Affairs Minister of India, S Jaishankar, had apprised the US government, specifically US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, of the agendas of the Modi-led government with regards to the occupied Himalayan territory.On Monday, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, the Minister of Home Affairs of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government scraped away Article 370 from the Indian Constitution, which provided a special constitutional status to Jammu & Kashmir.

Pakistan Mango festival in Tokyo draws huge interest

TOKYO, AUG 7 (DNA) -As part of its public diplomacy activities and to further introduce and popularize Pakistani mangoes in Japan, the Embassy of Pakistan organized “Pakistan Mango Festival” in Tokyo. A large number of guests including Japanese dignitaries, Government functionaries, diplomats, members of civil society and media persons attended the event and had a first-hand experience of the taste and aroma of the famous Pakistani mangoes.Welcoming the guests, Ambassador   Imtiaz Ahmad stated that Pakistan with 2 Million tons of  yield was the 5th largest producer and the 3trd largest exporter of mangoes. He proudly stated that  mango is called  the ‘King of Fruits’ and Pakistani mango is among the sweetest fruits on the face of the earth. He informed the guests that  Punjab and Sindh provinces of Pakistan are known for growing over 200 main varieties of mangoes.

Joint session of Parliament condemns Indian move

ISLAMABAD, AUG 07 (DNA) – The joint session of the Parliament continuing discussion on situation of occupied Kashmir today.The session is also discussing the Indian government’s move to revoke Article 370 in the Indian Constitution which grants special status to the State of Jammu and Kashmir.Taking part in the debate, Minister for Human Rights Dr. Shireen Mazari said Indian attempts to change the status of Occupied Kashmir are not only illegal, but they also defy the Geneva Convention which attributes any change in demographic composition of held territory as war crime.She said with the revocation of Articles 370 and 35-A India has violated the Shimla Accord, the decisions of its superior courts and all international norms. Even the Supreme Court of India gave a ruling in 2016 that central government cannot change these articles without the approval of state government.
