Ijaz Shah condemns oppression on unarmed Kashmiris by Indian occupied forces

NANKANA SAHIB (DNA) – Federal Minister for Interior Ijaz Ahmad Shah condemned the oppression on unarmed Kashmiris by the hands of Indian occupied forces.Addressing a ceremony held for minorities, he said Hitler government is ruling India and Pakistan is not less than a heaven for minorities. He said the role of minorities in making and progress of Pakistan cannot be forgotten. He said in India discriminatory behavior with Sikhs, Muslims and Christians prevail.

China fully supports Pakistan’s decision to go to UNSC over Kashmir issue: FM

Air chief says we stand by indigenous freedom movement of Kashmiris

Australian envoy greets Pakistani nation on Eid

ISLAMABAD, AUG 10 (DNA) –Newly-arrived High Commissioner of Australia Dr. Geoffrey Shaw has greeted Pakistani nation on the occasion of Eid ul Adha.

In his message on Saturday Dr Shaw sent his warmest wishes to all Pakistanis this week as on both auspicious occasions of Eid-ul-Adha and Independence Day.

Meera’s passport confiscated in Dubai

DUBAI: Authorities in Dubai confiscated Pakistani actor Meera’s passport.Meera’s manager Hassan told MEDIA , the passport was confiscated because it had expired.He added, a new passport had been issued to the actor and that Meera would return to Pakistan within a couple of days.Meera is currently in Dubai to promote her new movie Baaji which also stars Osman Khalid Butt, Amna Ilyas, Ali Kazmi, Nayyar Ejaz among others.   

US should force India to take back decision: ambassador Khan

WASHINGTON: Pakistan’s ambassador to the United States Dr Asad Majeed Khan has said, India’s move to revoke the status of occupied Kashmir could lead to a serious escalation.Speaking on Bloomberg Markets: The Close Khan said the US and only the US could do to defuse the situation.“Kashmir even according to India’s own constitution has enjoyed a special status. What India has done is to unilaterally change the status of the territory which is recognised by the entire international community including the United Nations as a disputed territory and we as a party to that dispute have a serious issue with what India has done,” Khan said.

Downpours were reported in Defence, Clifton, Model Colony, Shahrah-e-Faisal, I I Chundrigar, Malir Cantt, Landhi, Gulshan, Johar and adjoining areas.lower outages hit Liaquatabad Sea One Area, North Nazimabad, Tariq bin Zayd Society, North Karachi, New Karachi, Shadman Town, Surjani, Phelwan Goth, Safoora Goth, Defence and Scheme 33 and other areas.The MET Office in its weather warning for Sindh had said a well-marked monsoon low-pressure had formed over North Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas which is likely to move westwards and reach Indian Gujrat region, causing rain in most of the parts of Sindh.

PM Imran Khan briefs Bahrain king about Kashmir

ISLAMABAD, AUG 09 (DNA) – Prime Minister Imran Khan made a telephone call to the King of Bahrain, Shaikh Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, to apprise him of the evolving situation in the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) and Indian violation of the UN Security Council.Prime Minister Imran Khan strongly condemned and rejected the announcement made by the Government of India and underlined that they were in violation of UNSC Resolution. He stressed that IOK was an internationally recognized disputed territory and no unilateral step by Indian Government can change the disputed status as maintained in the UNSC Resolution. He urged that international community must play its role to stop India from this irresponsible and unilateral action to maintain peace and stability of the region.
