ISLAMABAD, AUG 11 (DNA) – The telephone call was part of Prime Minister’s outreach to sensitize world leaders about the grave situation in Indian occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IoJ&K) resulting from India’s latest unilateral and illegal actions in violation of the UNSC resolutions and international law.This was the first telephonic conversation between the two leaders.The Prime Minister informed President Widodo that IoJ&K remained under a complete clampdown and that there was a serious risk of innocent Kashmiris getting killed in large numbers as a result of enhanced repression by Indian security forces.

Iran president calls for diplomatic settlement of Kashmir issue
TEHRAN, (DNA) – Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani has called for diplomatic settlement of Kashmir issue, saying that Iran advocates restoration of rights of the Muslims living in other countries.Rouhani said that he contacted Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan by phone during which he said that Pakistani government will spare no effort to re-establish peace and security in Kashmir.Congratulating the Muslim’s Eid Al-Adha on a phone call, President Rouhani said, “Iran and Pakistan have always been two friendly, of good neighborly ties and they will remain so.”
Pakistan community of France pledged its support for Kashmiris
PARIS, AUG 11 (DNA) – Pakistani community of France offered special prayers for the safety and welfare of Kashmiris and pledged their support to their demand for self-determination in the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) during EidulAdha prayers.Special arrangements were made at the Embassy of Pakistan to France where community members, officers and staff of the Embassy alongwith their families offered Eid Prayers in large number.
Russia wants Kashmir resolved through Simla, Lahore pacts
MOSCOW, AUG 11 (DNA) – Expressing serious concern over the deteriorating situation in the Indian Held Kashmir (IHK), Russia has asked Pakistan and India to resolve the issue through political and diplomatic means on a bilateral basis in accordance with the provisions of Simla Agreement of 1972 and the Lahore Declaration of 1999.The situation in the IHK deteriorated after India revoked Article 370 of the Constitution on August 5 withdrawing the special status given to Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcating the state into two Union Territories — Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

Iran supports Pakistan on occupied Kashmir dispute
ISLAMABAD/TEHRAN (DNA) – Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has telephoned Iranian Speaker Ali Larijani on Saturday to discuss ongoing situation in the occupied Kashmir.During the conversation, both the sides condemned the Indian serious human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and agreed to adopt joint strategy for highlighting Kashmir cause at international forum.Asad Qaisar said the curfew imposed by Indian government in Occupied Kashmir to make them hostage is a shameful act. He said Pakistan considers its brother and neighbor, Iran, an important friend of its difficult time.
