RAWALPINDI, OCT 5 (DNA) –Ambassador of Indonesia Iwan S Amri has said bilateral relations between the two countries have got new dimensions as both sides have decided to promote and strengthen cooperation in security field also adding recent visit of security personnel to Pakistan shall set new basis for this cooperation.
ISLAMABAD (DNA) – In light of the ongoing talks with the United States, the Taliban delegation will stay in Pakistan till Sunday.The delegation will hold meetings with important persons in Pakistan. US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad is also present in Pakistan.According to sources, Pakistani leadership had earlier met Zalmay Khalilzad in America. Let it be known that the US envoy held a sitting with the Taliban delegation on Friday in Islamabad.

ISLAMABAD, OCT 5 (DNA) – The French embassy celebrated 45 years of Rafi Peer Theatre workshop and its outstanding contribution to the arts and culture in Pakistan.Thrilling performances of renowned Pakistani folk artists such as Saeen Zahoor, Tahseen Sakina, Mian Meeri Qawals, Shoukat Dholiya, Nighat Choudhery and Wahab Shah virtually left the audiences spell-bound, majority of whom was comprised foreigners and diplomats.For most of them this sort of music was a real feast as they did not hear such kind of music before. Especially those diplomats who have just arrived in Pakistan were greatly enchanted by this zonre of music.
ISLAMABAD, OCT 04 (DNA) – The European Union is allocating € 300,000 (PKR 51.4 Million) to provide emergency humanitarian assistance to families affected by the earthquake that struck Pakistan’s eastern region in late September.The funding will address the most pressing needs of around 3,000 vulnerable people in some of the hardest-hit areas.“We are acting fast to channel emergency aid to those most affected in Pakistan,” said the Head of the EU Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations Office in Islamabad, Bernard Jaspers-Faijer.“Our funding will assist the most vulnerable and help provide shelter to those who have lost their homes and belongings in the aftermath of the strong tremor. Our thoughts are with all the victims and first responders working around the clock to save lives.”
RAWALPINDI, OCT 03 (DNA) – Sequel to discussions and seminars on ‘Interplay of economy and security’, a concluding session of stake holders hosted by COAS was held at Army Auditorium. Govt economic team and businessmen of the country participated.COAS apprised participants about improved internal security environment of the country which has enabled space for increased economic activity.COAS said that accessibility and responsiveness of govt economic team to business community and displayed understanding between public and private institutions is good sign for intended positive trajectory in economic activity.

ISLAMABAD, OCT 02 (DNA) – The Speaker of the House of Representatives of Malaysia Tan Sri Dato Ariff Bin Md Yusuf, presently on a visit to Pakistan, called on Prime Minister Imran Khan today.The Prime Minister appreciated Prime Minister Mahathir’s statements supporting just and durable solution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN charter and relevant UNSC resolutions.He said that Prime Minister Mahatir was a source of inspiration for all developing countries and the Muslim world.Prime Minister expressed the desire to further deepen ties between the two countries. He said that there was an immense potential to increase trade and investment between the two countries in particular for promotion and development of tourism in Pakistan.

HONG KONG, OCT 02 (DNA) – Hong Kong anti-government protesters are increasingly focusing their anger on mainland Chinese businesses and those with pro-Beijing links, daubing graffiti on store fronts and vandalizing outlets in the heart of the financial center.Protesters took aim at some of China’s largest banks at the weekend, spray-painting anti-China slogans on shuttered branches and trashing ATM machines of outlets such as Bank of China (601988.SS), while nearby international counterparts such as Standard Chartered (STAN.L) escaped untouched.
Pakistan does not recognize Armenia because it is occupying Azerbaijani territory

The Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia has said his country fully defended the Indian position on Kashmir issue adding Armenia will help India create a favorable condition for India on this issue.Talking to media recently the Armenian prime minister said international bodies may be mobilized in favour of India.To a question he further said that Indian prime minister had proposed many joint ventures and we shall be happy to work with India.
