EU asks India to immediately put halt to atrocities in IOK

BRUSSELS, FEB 20 (DNA) – European Union’s Sub Committee on Human Rights hosted an official exchange of views on situation of human rights in Kashmir at the European Parliament in Brussels.This was for the first time after 2007 that the issue of Kashmir was discussed publically at an official EU forum.In his remarks, the Chair of the Sub-Committee Pier Antonio PANZERI reiterated EU’s commitment to uphold and protect human rights throughout the world.

NAB arrests Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani

KARACHI, (DNA) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Wednesday has arrested Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani over funds embezzlement and disproportionate assets charge.The speaker was taken into custody from a hotel in Islamabad’s Red Zone area.According to recent reports, NAB has shifted Durrani to Rawalpindi office however, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader will be produced before accountability court for transit remand on Thursday.

Lt General Takashi MOTOMATSU of Japan visits Air Headquarters

Erdogan to visit Pakistan next month: Turk Envoy

Bernie Sanders to seek US presidency again in 2020

ISLAMABAD, (DNA) – At the International Court of Justice in The Hague, Pakistan have started arguments in the case of Indian Spy Kulbhushan Jadhav.Attorney General, Anwar Mansoor Khan told the court that Kulbhushan Jadhav has confessed that RAW had entered Pakistan with a pre-determined aim to cause terrorism in Balochistan.He said Jadhav’s activities are actual manifestation of Indian policy.

Malaysia keen for greater trade with Pakistan: HC

Double bombing in Syria’s Idlib kills 13, mostly civilians: monitor

BEIRUT , FEB 18 (DNA) – Two bomb attacks killed 13 people, including 10 civilians, in Syria’s militant-held city of Idlib on Monday, a Britain-based war monitor said.The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said 25 people were also wounded in the main city of the Idlib region, which is held by an alliance led by militants of Syria’s former Al-Qaeda affiliate.
