Ambassador of Qatar leaving Pakistan after completing term

ISLAMABAD, SEPT 13 (DNA) Ambassador of Qatar     Saqr bin Mubarak Al-Mansouri is leaving Pakistan after completing his term.He was appointed Qatar ambassador to Pakistan in January 2015 while he was also accredited to Afghanistan.The Qatar government has also announced his successor who happens to be the brother of the incumbent foreign minister of Qatar.The ambassador is expected to leave Pakistan in a couple of weeks. According to diplomatic sources he is retiring from service.=DNA

Independence Day of Uzbekistan celebrated in style

ISLAMABAD, SEPT 13 (DNA) Ambassador of Uzbekistan Furqat Sidikov hosted a colorful reception to mark 28th Anniversary of the Independence of Uzbekistan.

Omar Ayub Khan Federal Minister for Petroleum was the chief guest while a large number of guests hailing from various walks of life attended the reception.

The embassy also established special kiosks where various Uzbek products were exhibited. A kiosk displaying fruits from Uzbekistan got special attention of the guests.

Pak-China joint statement on occupied Kashmir irks India

NEW DELHI: India is unhappy over the reference of situation in the occupied Kashmir in the Pakistan-China joint statement issued Sunday after the conclusion of visit by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to Islamabad.“We reject the reference to Jammu and Kashmir in the joint statement issued by China and Pakistan after the recent visit of Chinese Foreign Minister. J&K is an integral part of India,” Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said.

Pakistan observes 71st death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam

KARACHI: The 71st death anniversary of the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is being observed  with due solemnity and reverence across the country Today (Wednesday).Government representatives from different walks of life would visit the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam in Karachi to lay floral  wreaths and offered Fateha.Besides politicians, representatives of the three services will lay wreaths at the mausoleum on behalf of their respective chiefs.

PM Imran announces big rally in Azad Kashmir on Friday

ISLAMABAD, (DNA) – : Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday announced to hold a big rally in Azad Kashmir on Friday (Sept 13) to apprise the world on the situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir.Taking to Twitter, the prime minister said he would “send a message to the world about the continuing siege of IOJK by Indian Occupation forces; & to show the Kashmiris that Pakistan stands resolutely with them”.This would be PM’s third visit to  the AJK since August 05 when India imposed curfew in the Valley after stripping the region of autonomy provided under Article 370.

31 dead in Ashoura stampede in Karbala, 100 injured

BAGHDAD (DNA) – At least 31 pilgrims died Tuesday in a stampede at a major shrine in the Iraqi city of Karbala as they marked the holy day of Ashura, the health ministry said.Another 100 people were injured at the shrine around 100 kilometres (60 miles) south of Baghdad, said spokesman Saif al-Badr, stressing that the toll was not final.

The incident happened toward the end of the Ashoura procession, causing panic and a stampede.Tens of thousands of Shiite Muslims converge on the holy city for the occasion, which marks the anniversary of the death of Imam Hussein, one of the grandsons of the prophet Mohammed.

It is the deadliest stampede in recent history during Ashura
