ISLAMABAD, NOV 27 (DNA) – Speaker National Assembly Assad Qaiser has said that Pakistan and Romania enjoyed friendly relations and Pakistan wanted to further consolidate the existing relations. He said that Pakistan desired to further strengthen relations through enhanced parliamentary and commercial relation with Romania.He expressed these views while talking to Romanian Ambassador Mr. Nicolae Goia, who called on him in Parliament House on Wednesday.While emphasizing the need for close contacts between the Parliaments of both the countries’ he said that the parliamentarians could play an important role in strengthening bilateral relations.

Strategy afoot to construct gas storage facilities, increase oil stock capacity
The government has been working effectively on a multi-pronged strategy to construct gas storage facilities which the country lacks for the smooth supply of the commodity, especially during peak winter and summer seasons.Under the strategy, a feasibility study has been started to set up the storage facilities after the experts predicted that the gas supply system will expand from existing five billion cubic feet (bcf) to seven bcf during next two to three years, a senior official privy to petroleum sector developments told.

Chief justice suspends notification of Bajwa’s tenure extension until tomorrow
Chief Justice of Pakistan Asif Saeed Khosa on Tuesday suspended the notification of Army Chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa’s tenure extension until the hearing tomorrow.The court issued notices to all parties, including Gen Bajwa, who is due to retire on November 29. The hearing was adjourned until Wednesday.On August 19, Prime Minister Imran Khan had approved an extension in the tenure of Gen Bajwa for another three years.”General Qamar Javed Bajwa is appointed Chief of Army Staff for another term of three years from the date of completion of current tenure,” the brief notification issued by the prime minister’s office had said.
