ISLAMABAD, NOV 15 (DNA) – Pearl-Continental Hotels & Resorts has been awarded ‘Brand of the Year’ Award at the World Branding Awards ceremony at Kensington Palace in London on Thursday, 14th November 2019.Addressing the awards ceremony, Hashoo Group Hospitality Division Chief Operating Officer Mr. Haseeb Gardezi said: “It is an honour for us and a proud moment for Pakistan to witness Pearl-Continental Hotels & Resorts receive this prestigious award.”

 FAMTRIP 2019 team landed at Bali International Airport on October 21, 2019 and those of us visiting Bali for the first time were simply nonplused to see the décor and ambiance of the airport. Beautifully decorated walls; pathways littered with posters and statues depicting the lifestyle of Balinese people abruptly snatched our attention. It was my third time in Bali however the new comers could not resist themselves praising the grandeur of Bali airport. But it was just a beginning, I told them. Get ready for more adventures and eventful days ahead.

Opposition withdraws no-confidence motion against NA deputy speaker

ISLAMABAD (DNA) – Opposition parties on Friday have decided to take back their no-confidence motion against National Assembly (NA) deputy speaker Qasim Suri.According to details, the announced was made after government representatives assured the opposition of withdrawing ordinances approved on November 7.Let it be known that the opposition had tabled no-confidence motion against Qasim Suri under Rule 12 (removal of the speaker or the deputy speaker) of the Rules and Procedure and Conduct of Business, 2007 and Article 53(7)(c) of the Constitution.

Pakistan elected as President of UNESCO’s Education Commission

PARIS, (DNA) – Shafqat Mahmood, Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training was unanimously elected as President of UNESCO’s prestigious Education Commission at UNESCO Headquarter, in Paris.While commenting upon his election, the Federal Minister termed it as an honor for Pakistan and an acknowledgement of Pakistan’s commitment to UNESCO’s work in the field of education.The Minister said that being the President of UNESCO’s Education Commission, he would work closely with all delegations in a constructive manner in pursuance of UNESCO’s objectives to build peace through international cooperation in education, sciences and culture and to achieve UN Sustainable Development Goals defined in Agenda 2030.

Nawaz Sharif shall return if he goes abroad: Khawaja Asif

ISLAMABAD, NOV 14 (DNA) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Asif Thursday said former prime minister Nawaz Sharif shall return to Pakistan if he goes abroad for medical treatment.The PML-N leader addressed the National Assembly and maintained that Nawaz Sharif is fighting for his life at the moment and he should not be put at stake.“The government will be held accountable here and hereafter if it creates hurdles in the PML-N supreme leader’s treatment.“Nawaz Sharif has been given relief by the courts. He does not want to leave Pakistan and has only agreed after being insisted by his mother and other family members.

PML N refuses to accept govt condition of surety bonds

LAHORE, NOV 14 (DNA) – PML N has decided not to accept govt proposal of submitting surety bonds. Instead the PML N has decided to go to court to get Nawaz Sharif name removed from the ECL.A meeting held today under the chairmanship of Shahbaz Sharif decided to decline govt offer.The PML says surety bonds condition is illegal and illogical therefore they will not accept it.=DNA

Punjab govt making all-out efforts to control dengue: Dr. Yasmeen

LAHORE: Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmeen Rashid on Wednesday said that the provincial government was taking all-out measures to cope with the menace of dengue.Presiding over a high-level meeting, Dr. Yasmeen Rashid said, “The ratio of dengue cases have substantially been reduced due to the efforts made by the district administration and other concerned departments.”According to the statement issued by the ministry, she directed to carry out effective measure for preventing the growth of dengue larva. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that dengue patients were being provided best medical facilities at public sector hospitals in Punjab.
