ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday has shared an article of prominent Indian author Khushwant Singh and said that the journalist has foreseen where India was headed with its racial supremacist ideology.According to the article posted by the premier on his social-networking website account, Khushwant Singh said every fascist regime needs communities and groups it can demonize in order to thrive.It starts one group or two but it never ends there. A movement built on hate can only sustain itself by continually creating fear and strife, the article stated.
Govt to come up with response on Musharraf case after deliberations: Firdous

Deadline for applications under Ehsaas Scholarship Programme extended till Dec 24
ISLAMABAD, DEC 18 (DNA) – The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has extended the last date for submission of applications under the Prime Minister’s Ehsaas Undergraduate Scholarship Programme till December 24, 2019. The students of third, fourth, and fifth years of undergraduate degree programmes are encouraged to apply. The programme is the largest ever undergraduate scholarship initiative of Pakistan seeking to award 50,000 scholarships per year to undergraduate students from low-income families.

A number of films are devoted to positive changes in relations between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan. These films were prepared by the famous American journalist and presenter Ryan Chilkot, who came to Uzbekistan three times and also traveled specifically to shoot these films in Afghanistan.
Govt to ‘review in detail’ special court’s verdict against Musharraf: Awan
ISLAMABAD, DEC 17 – Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan on Tuesday said the government will “review in detail” a special court’s decision to hand former military ruler retired Gen Pervez Musharraf a death sentence in the high treason case against him.Speaking to reporters in Islamabad she said: “We will review in detail, today’s verdict as well as yesterday’s,” adding that legal experts will analyse all legal and political aspects as well as the impact on national interests, after which a government statement will be presented to the media.
Pervez Musharraf granted death sentence in high treason case
ISLAMABAD, DEC 17 , – Special court in Islamabad on Tuesday has sentenced former president and top military official Pervez Musharraf to death in high treason case.According to details, a three-member bench headed by Peshawar High Court (PHC) Chief Justice Waqar Ahmad Seth announced the verdict that was reserved on December 5.During the hearing, Justice Seth said that ex-president had violated the Constitution on November 3, 2007 by clamping the state of emergency.
