Saudi Foreign Minister’s visit to Pakistan rescheduled

ISLAMABAD, MAR 02 (DNA): Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al Jubeir’s visit to Pakistan has been rescheduled and now he will reach Islamabad on Sunday.Diplomatic sources said that details of Adel al Jubeir s visit were still under consideration. Earlier, he was scheduled to reach Pakistan on Friday.Sources said that Saudi Foreign Minister is expected to visit India today (Saturday) and then reach Islamabad on Sunday. Sources also informed that Adel al Jubeir will be carrying an important message from Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.

LAHORE (DNA) – Indian authorities on Saturday handed over the body of Pakistani inmate Shakirullah to Pakistan on Wagah border.His family was also present at the moment.Shakirullah was stoned to death by Indian prisoners at Central Jail in Rajasthan.Shakirullah was in Indian jail since 2001. However, he was murdered on February 20 after India leveled false allegations against Pakistan of being involved in the Pulwama attack.

Two Pakistan army soldiers among four martyred in Indian firing

MUZAFFARABAD,MAR 2 (DNA ) – Two Pakistan army soldiers embraced martyrdom on Saturday at Nakiyal Sector of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) as “ruthless shelling” by Indian troops from across the restive Line of Control (LoC) continued on Saturday, according to the Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor.Soldiers who lost their lives while targeting Indian posts included Hawaldar Abdur Rab and Nayak Khuram.Pakistan armed forces responded effectively and killed many Indian soldiers, besides destroying many posts of the Indian army.

Pakistan awaits Shakirullah’s body in exchange of pilot Abhinandan’s safe return

LAHORE (DNA) – Family of Pakistani inmate Shakirullah, who was stoned to death by Indian prisoners at Central Jail in Rajasthan, has reached Wagah Border to receive his body.Shakirullah was in Indian jail since 2001. However, he was murdered on February 20 after India leveled false allegations against Pakistan of being involved in the Pulwama attack.The Indian authorities had decided to hand over the body to the family in an exchange of Abhinandan‘s safe return.Earlier, Pakistan handed over captured Indian pilot to Indian authorities at Wagah border in a “peace gesture”.Abhinandan’s MiG-21 jet was shot down over Kashmir on Wednesday, after a dogfight in the skies over the disputed Himalayan region which sent tensions between India and Pakistan to their highest levels in years and alarmed world powers, who issued calls for restraint.

DONG DANG (DNA) – A train carrying North Korea’s Kim Jong Un left a Vietnamese rail station bound for China Saturday, following his summit with US President Donald Trump in Hanoi this week.Kim boarded his armoured train at the northern border station of Dong Dang, which slowly pulled out at the start of a 4,000 kilometre (2,500 mile) journey back to Pyongyang through China.

Gladiators dominate Sultans as they win by six wickets

ISLAMABAD, (DNA) – As Quetta Gladiators came out to chase the small total of 122 runs, they were off to a flier with Shane Watson and Ahsan Ali racing to 49 runs in 5.5 overs, before the veteran all-rounder, Shahid Afridi got rid of the Australian batsman for 33 (25).The wicket hurt Gladiators’ scoring rate, which was further dented by Afridi once again when he cleaned up the young opening batsman, Ali. Trump asks China to lift tariffs on U.S. farm products

WASHINGTON (DNA) – President Donald Trump said he had asked China to immediately remove all tariffs on U.S. agricultural products because trade talks were progressing well.He also delayed plans to impose 25-percent tariffs on Chinese goods on Friday, as previously scheduled.“I have asked China to immediately remove all Tariffs on our agricultural products (including beef, pork, etc.) based on the fact that we are moving along nicely with Trade discussions,” Trump said on Twitter, pointing out that he had not raised tariffs on Chinese goods to 25 percent from 10 percent on March 1 as planned.
