PM Imran grieved over loss of lives in Quetta blast

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday strongly condemned the blast in Quetta and expressed his deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious human lives.According to a statement issued by the PM Media Office, the prime minister directed for the provision of best medical treatment to the injured and prayed for their early recovery.At least two people have been killed and several others wounded after a bomb targeted a security personnel vehicle in the southwestern city of Quetta.

Pakistani nationals advised to exercise maximum caution while planning visit to Iraq

ISLAMABAD, JAN 08 (DNA) – In view of recent developments and the prevailing security situation in the region, Pakistani nationals are advised to exercise maximum caution while planning a visit to Iraq at this point.

Those already in Iraq are advised to remain in close contact with the Embassy of Pakistan in Baghdad.

PM summons parliamentary party meeting of PTI, allied parties

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan has summoned the parliamentary party meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its allied parties to meet today (Tuesday) in Islamabad.According to sources, the meeting will start at 10:00am and will be presided over by PM Imran. The meeting will formulate strategy for the approval of the legislature regarding the Armed Forces.Sources also informed that the cabinet meeting, which was scheduled to be held today, has been postponed due to legislation related to Army Act in Parliament. The Prime Minister has directed the members to ensure their participation in the Parliament meeting.

Political parties are unified on national security matter: Dr Firdous

ECC approves amendments in Nepra Act

ISLAMABAD, JAN 06 (DNA) – The Economic Coordination Committee has recommended for submission to the federal cabinet a set of amendments proposed by the Ministry of Energy to the Regulation of Generation, Transmission and Distribution of Electronic Power Act 1997.

Meeting of ECC was held in Islamabad on Monday with Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh in the chair.

Soleimani assassination marks end of US presence in region: IRGC Commander

Tehran, Jan 5, — Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Commander Major General Hossein Salami on Saturday described Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani as architect of US strategic defeats over the past decades, saying that his assassination marks the end of the US presence in the region. Vowing severe revenge for Soleimani assassination, he said that the IRGC will certainly take a painful and regrettable revenge from America, but its timing and scale are not known. 

Message of the Foreign Minister on Right to Self-determination Day for people of Jammu and Kashmir

Today, Kashmiris around the world are observing the 71st anniversary of the United Nations’ commitment that the Jammu and Kashmir dispute would be decided through the democratic method of a free and impartial plebiscite under the UN auspices. Through this resolution, the United Nations affirmed its support for the realization of the inalienable right to self-determination of Kashmiris – a right from which all other fundamental freedoms and basic human rights flow.

ISLAMABAD  – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Sunday has said that India’s illegal and unilateral actions of 5 August last year are aimed at altering the disputed status of occupied Kashmir and bringing about demographic change to undermine the right to self-determination of Kashmiris have been widely rejected.In a message on Right to Self-Determination Day being observed today (Sunday), the minister said that India’s unrestrained oppression has reached unprecedented levels with the inhuman lockdown now in place for over 150 days.
