LAHORE (DNA) – Adviser to Punjab Chief Minister Akram Chaudhry on Tuesday resigned from his post as the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) plans to appoint Dr Salman Shah as the Adviser.Punjab CM Sardar Usman Buzdar’s adviser Akram Chaudhry had been requested to tender resignation from his post after the number count for CM’s adviser had reached its constitutional limit.Sources said that following Akram Chaudhry’s resignation, the government is appointing Dr Salman Shah.

ISLAMABAD, MAY 14 (DNA) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has Tuesday summoned Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in fake bank accounts case on May 17.The PPP chairman will be interrogated about the Park Lane Company case, and has been directed by the anti-corruption watchdog to appear in the NAB office with answers to the questionnaire regarding the case.

LAHORE (DNA) – Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday has approved bail of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) Chief Khadim Rizvi and senior leader Afzal Qadri on charges of sabotaging peace in the wake of Supreme Court of Pakistan’s (SC) verdict acquitting Asia Bibi in blasphemy case.The court has announced the decision that was reserved on May 10.Earlier, Lahore police had booked top brass of TLP including party s chief Khadim Hussain Rizvi and senior leader Afzal Qadri and lodged as many as 11 cases against them and 500 other unknown miscreants.

LAHORE (DNA) – A district and sessions court in Lahore has Monday sent 11 Chinese nationals involved in fake marriages with Pakistan girls on 14-day judicial remand to jail.The suspects have been accused of blackmailing and forcing Pakistani girls into indecent activities after marriage in China.The accused were presented before the court by the Federal Investigation Agency after two-day physical remand. Judicial Magistrate Amir Raza conducted the hearing.

ISLAMABAD (DNA): Justice Gulzar Ahmed, Senior Puisne Judge Supreme Court of Pakistan has taken oath as Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan.The oath was administered by Justice Azmat Saeed in a simple and dignified ceremony in the Supreme Court on Monday.Justice Gulzar Ahmad will serve as the acting Chief Justice of Pakistan until the return of Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa who has proceeded on a seven day official visit to Russia.
