ISLAMABAD, JUL 6 (DNA) – Ambassador of Romania Nicolae Goia has said Romania’s Presidency of the European Council has been a successful office, in which Romania proved to be strongly attached to European values and has acted to strengthen the European project, for a Union of the citizens, liberties, our efforts and our combined capacities.

He expressed these views while speaking on the occasion of a reception he hosted to mark the end of the Presidency and to bid farewell to the Ambassador of European Union.

ISLAMABAD, JULY 05 (DNA) – Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan on Friday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote bilateral trade and investment between the two countries.Iranian minister of Industry, Mining and Trade Reza Rahmani and Pakistan Prime Minister’s Advisor on Commerce, Textile, Industries and Production Abdul Razak Dawood signed the MoU at the conclusion of the 8th Joint Trade Committee (JTC) meeting in Islamabad.

ISLAMABAD, JUL 03 (DNA) – The 6th Session of the Pakistan-Tajikistan Joint Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific-Technical Cooperation was held at Dushanbe on 2 July 2019.The Pakistan delegation was headed by Mr. Omar Ayub Khan, Federal Minister for Energy and Petroleum; the Tajik side was led by Mr. Usmonzoda Usmonali, Minister of Energy and Water Resources.

ISLAMABAD, JULY 03 (DNA) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) earlier on Wednesday released the asset details of sitting senators along with those of Senate Chairman and Deputy Chairman.The asset details of current senators were decalred in an official notification with Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s Azam Swati taking the top spot as the richest senator with assets worth Rs 1.85 billion.

ISLAMABAD (DNA) – Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, the spokesperson for the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), has refuted claims that PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari holds iqama (work permit) of any company in Dubai.However, he clarified that Bilawal possesses a special iqama of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which he uses for travelling to/from Dubai, and that it has been declared before the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

KARACHI (DNA) – The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) prime suspect involved in the attack on the Chinese consulate in Karachi, in November 2018, has been arrested by the law enforcement agencies.The suspect namely Rashid Brohi has been transported to Pakistan after being detained from a Gulf state.According to details, Brohi had monitored the overall plan of the attack and provided all facilities to the attackers. Prior to the attack, he was sent Rs900,000, and after the attack he fled the country.
