FM Qureshi briefs Azerbaijan counterpart about human rights situation in occupied Kashmir
ISLAMABAD, AUG 28 (DNA) – Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has telephoned his Azerbaijan counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov on Wednesday to apprise him about the serious situation in Occupied Kashmir.Shah Mahmood Qureshi informed his counterpart that India has abrogated special status of Occupied Kashmir by taking unilateral steps and violating the UN Security Council Resolutions.He said despite the presence of 700,000 troops in Occupied Kashmir, further deployment of 1,80,000 troops is a proof that India is on the verge of going to conduct a genocide of Kashmiris.
Adviser to PM on Finance & Revenue chairs ECC, CCoE meetings
Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet has approved proposals submitted by the Ministry of Industries & Production for payment of salaries to the employees of Pakistan Machine Tool Factory (PMTF) and Pakistan Steel Mill (PSM) as well as a proposal of the Power Division for payment of electricity charges by the Government of Sindh as Thar subsidy for 4514 domestic consumers of Taluka Islamkot.
Korean company ready to set up charging infrastructure in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD, AUG 28 (DNA) -A company of South Korea, which specializes in manufacturing batteries, has offered Pakistan for setting up charging infrastructure in Pakistan in the wake of ambitious EV policy by the Ministry of Climate Change.A delegation of Songuo, a Korean battery manufacturer, called on the advisor to the Prime Minister/ Federal Minister on Climate Change, Malik Amin Aslam in his office on Wednesday.Adviser said that EV policy was ready and would be presented to the cabinet in one week’s time. After the approval from the competent forum, policy would bring about opening of new horizons of opportunities not only in the field of transportation and environment but also creating scores of green jobs.
Azerbaijan reaffirms support to Pakistan on Kashmir issue
ISLAMABAD, AUG 28 (DNA): Azerbaijan on Wednesday reaffirmed its full support to Pakistan on longstanding Kashmir issue.According to the details, Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Pakistan Ali Alizad called on Interior Minister Brigadier (retd) Ijaz Ahmad Shah in Islamabad and slammed the India’s unilateral move on occupied Kashmir.Matters of mutual interest, current situation in occupied Kashmir, Indian atrocities, revocation of Kashmir’s special status and other issues were discussed in the meeting. PM Imran Khan telephones Jordan king; French president

Pakistan, Turkey agree to increase cooperation in aviation sector

Thirty Pakistani students awarded Japan’s Mext Research Scholarships

New Dutch envoy assumes charge of his office

Pakistan has nothing to do with firing at Afghan border: FO
ISLAMABAD, AUG 28 (DNA) -Pakistan has regretted the Afghanistan government’s twisting of facts about some recent incidents of firing along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.As a matter of policy, Pakistan does not fire across Pak-Afghan Border. Cross border attacks by Terrorists on Army/FC posts are responded to in self-defense only. Pakistan has formally shared location of these terrorist camps in the areas mentioned and has requested Government of Afghanistan to deploy its forces in these areas to bring it under their effective control.We hope Afghanistan will do the needful in line with the mutual understanding on these issues.=DNA
