Bushra Ansari apologises to drama critics, says she overreacted

Actor Bushra Ansari has apologised to drama critics and fans for her outburst last month. The actor was trending on Twitter for all the wrong reasons.

Here’s what happened: Ansari left a harsh comment on a review of her drama serial, Zebaish, by YouTube channel Amma TV Aur Mein by Momin Ali Munshi and his mother Lubna Faryad. The idea behind the show is to review Pakistani dramas through the lens of an ordinary mom watching television.

The reviews are supposed to be humorous, blunt and representative of what the common Pakistani woman thinks of the dramas she is watching.

Since then the comment has been deleted. Last week, Faryad also posted a response to Ansari. She said that she was overwhelmed by the love and support of her fans.

Taking to Instagram to explain herself, Bushra said that when an artist, writer, director or producer work on a project, it becomes a part of them. She said it was “like a child for them that they create with love for their audience.” Keeping this in mind, the actor said that it hurts when someone ridicules your hard work. “I believe that everyone has a right to like or dislike our work but language is important,” she added.

No chances of bilateral dialogues with India over Kashmir: Masood

MUZAFFARABAD, JULY 11 (DNA) – The President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Sardar Masood Khan has said neither India would come to the table for talks on Kashmir nor Pakistan want to indulge in talks with India because of what India has done in Occupied Kashmir.

“India has changed the dynamics of the area unilaterally. So we would not sit with them around the negotiating table,” Masood said in an interview.

He said that Kashmir has been internationalized and multi-lateralized and we should not bring it to the bilateral level. Because bilateral negotiations have been a mirage and India has been using them as a tool to perpetuate its hold on the Jammu & Kashmir territory. “So, I think that we have this new space in the international domain. We should use it, not lose it.”

When asked to comment on the Simla Agreement, which states that India- Pakistan shall settle their differences by peaceful means through bilateral negotiations, President Masood Khan said  the agreement is now redundant mainly because of unilateral Indian actions in IOJK.

However, he said although the Simla Agreement is disused, we haven’t changed our stance and we shouldn’t.  He emphasized that instead, we should use the full potential of the United Nations. We should use this platform because it is relevant to the Kashmir issue. He maintained Pakistan and people of Jammu and are ready for third-party mediation

“I think that as citizens of Pakistan, we are ready for the diplomacy of any kind. I believe that the starting point of such diplomacy should be the United Nations Security Council resolutions because these were drawn after prolonged deliberations and should not be set aside.”

Further, the Kashmiris should be associated with any direct or indirect negotiations on Kashmir. They are the real party to the dispute, he said.

AJK President said because of Indian steps in IOJK. There is a huge reaction and resentment in the occupied territory as well as in Azad Kashmir and Pakistan. Also, in the world: the diaspora community is seething with anger because India is committing serious crimes with impunity.

President Khan warned that occupied territory and AJK is already perilous and will lead to more radicalization of Kashmiri youth. This is why the Indian Occupation forces are targeting Kashmiri youth. Every day they gun down these Kashmiris in fake encounters.

“I foresee more militarization and radicalization of the Kashmiri youth. So, the risk of war increases,” he said.

Paying tributes to the struggling people of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, President Khan they despite India’s aggression and brutalization for the past seven decades and despite so many sacrifices, Kashmiris haven’t capitulated and they are determined to continue this struggle which is a legitimate struggle.

“I must also add that Kashmiris are the bravest people in the world. If you go to other parts of the world where there is conflict, you have combat between armed groups. Here, on one side you have 900,000 Indian troops to brutalize the people of Kashmir while on the other you have 230 or 300 so-called militants,” the President concluded. DNA
