Bangladesh National Day celebrations held in Karachi

KARACHI, MAR 30 /DNA/ – Charge d’ Affaires of Bangladesh Deputy High Commission Mohammad Atiqur Rehman celebrated Great 51th Independence and National Day of Bangladesh at a local hotel in Karachi.
The event was largely attended by city’s elite from all walks of life including the politicians, Envoys of other countries, Members of Diplomatic Corps, Civil and Military Officials, Official from International Organisations, UN also attended the colourful nigh members of the business community and the journalists.
Speaking at the event, chief guest Senator Nisar Khuhro senior leader of Pakistan Peoples’ Party extended his heartfelt congratulations to the people of Bangladesh and said that it is really appreciable that with the passage of time Bangladesh is emerging fast in diversified sectors whether it is the economy, education or businesses, everything is expanding at a rapid pace. 
He also said that diplomatic relationship is essential as it plays a vital role in strengthening the bilateral ties with each other.
Speaking to the audience, Charge d’ Affaires of Bangladesh Deputy HC Atiqur Rehman said “Our country is progressing with every passing day. In last 13 years Bangladesh has made an unprecedented progress across the board. We are among top 5 countries in terms of economic growth and will become 25th largest economy by 2035.”Mr Rahman pronounced Bangladesh Foreign Policy “Friendship to all , malice towards none”
He also said that Bangladesh is providing electricity to almost 100 percent people alongwith the implementation of mega projects of 100 Economic Zones, 39 Hi-tech Parks, Deep Sea Port, multipurpose tunnel and much more.
