Land for construction of small industrial state in Punjab provided: CM Buzdar
LAHORE, July 10 (DNA): Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Wednesday said the government has provided 150 acres of land in Gujranwala and sixty-three acres land in Wazirabad for the establishment of the small industrial state.In a statement issued from Lahore, Punjab’s chief executive said that nine industrial centers will be established on ten thousand acres in the province to promote the industrial sector.
“Necessary steps are being taken for the formation of Special Economic Zones in this regard.
The chief minister said that six thousand people will get jobs due to the investment of six foreign companies in the province.
Last week, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar had said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led government believed in performance instead of slogans.
In a statement issued from his office, CM Buzdar had said that the opportunity given by Almighty Allah to serve the people will be fulfilled by treating it as a sacred responsibility.
He had said that the PTI government was taking every decision in the best interest of the country so that the economy could be improved.
The chief minister made it clear that injustices made with the underprivileged areas by the past government will be compensated. He said, “Public needs are given priority in development schemes. Things are being improved day by day and a good time is knocking at the door.”
Earlier, with improved law and order situation in the country, the confidence of foreign investors has significantly increased in Pakistan, revealed the survey results conducted by the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI).
The survey said the security situation in Balochistan improved by 40 percent, 70pc in Karachi and Lahore.
From the last year, the security situation in the country has remained satisfying which boosted the confidence of foreign investors. There has been an increase of over 65pc increase in the visits of OICCI members’ senior management to Pakistan, according to the survey.
“The increase in visits is a vote of confidence in the improved security environment. This improved security environment has allowed many foreign business visitors and trade delegations being granted travel permissions for their visits to Pakistan from their respective embassies and travel security agencies,” reads the survey report.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has said the provision of all facilities to the investors is among the top priorities of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government.
As per government officials, concrete steps are being taken for ease of doing business in the country and the results of these policies will soon be visible.=DNA
