Romanian envoy, FPCCI chief discuss expanding bilateral trade and investment

ISLAMABAD, OCT 21 /DNA/ — Romania’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Dan Stoenescu, has said that closer cooperation between the chambers of commerce of the two countries can help companies identify complementary interests and transform promising contacts into concrete projects, as he explored the prospects of a Pakistani business delegation visiting Romania.

In a statement shared after meeting a delegation from the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), led by its President Atif Ikram Sheikh, the ambassador said he was pleased with the engagement and that discussions focused on strengthening ties between the two business communities.

“We discussed a prospective Pakistani business delegation to Romania and opportunities to strengthen ties between our business communities, expand bilateral trade and explore investment partnerships,” Stoenescu said.

The envoy underlined that deeper cooperation between the chambers of commerce of Pakistan and Romania could serve as a bridge for companies to identify areas of mutual interest and convert contacts into tangible projects.

“The Embassy of Romania looks forward to supporting these efforts,” he added.

The meeting is seen as part of ongoing efforts to broaden economic engagement between Pakistan and Romania, with both sides expressing interest in expanding trade volumes and encouraging investment partnerships across sectors.
